Hello Everyone, I'm going to run a Holiday One-Shot on Friday, December 16, 6:30PM PST (GMT-8). I've created a hack of Paul Czege's My Life with Master indie RPG. I've called it My Life with Rudolph. The Game Listing page is here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/63041/rankin-sl... "All of the other Reindeer, used to laugh and call him names .... no more!" Harken back to those glory days of Rankin-Bass productions.... Back to........................................Your childhood Back to........................................Your Favorite Characters: Hermey, Yukon Cornelius, Clarice the Doe.... Back to........................................Your Fears Back to........................................My Life with Rudolph! My Life with Rudolph is a holiday-themed hack of Paul Czege's My Life with Master indie RPG. The setting is the Rankin/Bass Classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer's Christmas Town. The Master, the evil genius who seeks to dominate all around him, is none other than Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer himself. You are one of his minions: Clarice the Doe, Hermey the Elf Dentist, Yukon Cornelius, The Bumble, and others. Rudolph has plans, plans within plans, and you will carry them out... or be punished for your insolence. "They never let poor Rudolph join in any Reindeer games .... and they came to regret it!" Come join me in a Holiday Season One-Shot, set in the twisted, burnt-out remains of your precious childhood memories.... Here is an example character for the game: The Bumble aka the Abominable Snowmonster Self-Loathing : + Weariness : + (+ At the beginning of the game, the player gets to distribute 3 points between Self-Loathing and Weariness) Love : 0* (*Love always starts out at zero and increases as the character develops connections with citizens of Christmas Town) More than Human : Incredibly Strong except when Missing Teeth Less than Human : Only Speaks Monster except when Person Can't See Him Notes about the last 2 times I ran this game : The Bumble (aka The Abominable Snowmonster of the North) was a popular minion choice among the players and usually lost his teeth before the end of the game, as Rudolph frequently ordered his minions to extract them so he could have a Bumble-Tooth necklace to wear. In one game, his player refused to communicate with the other players except speaking "monster" whenever he was asked a question or talked to. At no point in either game did The Bumble ever speak clearly because no one took advantage of his talking normally if the person he was talking to couldn't see him. Another example character for the game: Dr. Hermey Trismegistus, D.D.S. Self-Loathing : + Weariness : + (+ At the beginning of the game, the player gets to distribute 3 points between Self-Loathing and Weariness) Love : 0* (*Love always starts out at zero and increases as the character develops connections with citizens of Christmas Town) More than Human : World's Greatest Dentist except when Someone Is Singing Less than Human : Filled With Murderous Rage except when Making Toys Notes about the last 2 times I ran this game : Another popular minion choice among the players, in one game, his player made Hermey a mustache-(less)-twirling villain, vis da ax-oont und all. He proceeded to act very much like a mix between Dr. Strangelove and Dr. Orin Scrivello (from Little Shop of Horrors), and often offered "comfort" to his "patients," including Fireball when he removed the reindeer's legs using the Christmas Town lumber mill. A third character option in the game: Charlie-In-The-Box Self-Loathing : + Weariness : + (+ At the beginning of the game, the player gets to distribute 3 points between Self-Loathing and Weariness) Love : 0* (*Love always starts out at zero and increases as the character develops connections with citizens of Christmas Town) More than Human : Mechanical Genius except when working on stuff He Didn't Build Less than Human : Stationary (must be carried) except when Drunk On Elf-Wine Notes about the last 2 times I ran this game : Players running Charlie-In-The-Box were always trying to score Elf-Wine, otherwise he couldn't move at all, unless someone carried him around. Mostly they failed to do even that. When Rudolph ordered them to monkeywrench Santa's sleigh, they failed that, too, because it was Elf-built. One player did manage to steal Santa's donut for Rudolph but ate it in a fit of pique before turning it over! If you are interested in joining, the Game Listing page is here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/63041/rankin-sl...

A fourth character! Sam the Snowman Self-Loathing : + Weariness : + (+ At the beginning of the game, the player gets to distribute 3 points between Self-Loathing and Weariness) Love : 0* (*Love always starts out at zero and increases as the character develops connections with citizens of Christmas Town) More than Human : Popular With Everyone except With Elves Less than Human : Can't Run Or Jump except When Singing Notes about the last 2 times I ran this game : Sam the Snowman was always a popular choice for players. And each time, they fought against the first command given by Rudolph: "Burn Down the Christmas Tree Forest!" Both players pleaded with Rudolph "I'll melt in the flames!" And both failed in their rolls to resist!
