General advice question

I am considering trying Roll20 for a new campaign in the Dungeon Crawl Classics system, and I was hoping to hear how other GMs use Roll20. I ran a 4E D&D game on Fantasy Grounds for 2 years before burning out on 4E, so I have a good understanding of how to run an online game. My question: is it best practice to keep the players on one page and swap maps and images in and out on the same page? Or is it better to give every map and image its own page and then open the page bar and drag the bookmark around to where you want the player's eyes? I wish the page bar stayed open which would facilitate faster dragging of the bookmark. Thanks!
I go with giving each map it's own page - that way you can have everything scaled how you want it before hand. Getting the grid aligned isn't something I want to do while running a game. Also, you can populate each page with its own batch of NPCs and tokens prior to use instead of copying and pasting or dragging items out of the art library. As for images, you can make a handout with a picture and a description when its convenient for you, then reveal to the players as needed by using the "Show to Players" button. The only down side is it limits the size of the image to somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 x 400 pixels until they click on it. So a wide sweeping panorama would look less impressive at first, but it's easier than swapping a map layer image in and out or dragging all the players over to a different page.
I do individual pages for each map and just move the Players Flag. I usually set up a 'Green Room' page where I place the Players Flag so when they log into the game they are on that page, and then when I am ready to reveal a map page I then just move the Players Flag.
Definitely have each map/visual aid on it's own page. Also, Drohem's advice for the green room page is very good. I keep copies of my player's tokens on that page in a group so I can copy from them and paste onto the new map easily. I highly recommend setting up a character sheet in the journal tab for each player and at least filling in attributes for HP/Health and whatever else you might want to link to the character tokens. This is useful so that when you link the tokens to the character, you won't have to reset their hit points on each page. Also, a "monster/npc token bag" is useful to set up as it's own page so that anything reoccurring villains or often used monsters can be set up ahead of time and copy/pasted into different map pages. It saves some time from having to hunt up the token you want to use every time.

I do the green room page also. I have the name of the campaign the day and time on it along with the character tokens grouped in an outlined area for quick reference. I also have a monster mini page which is where I gather the various mini's I will need or use. This way I can just pull them and use them as I need without having to search for them. That lets them be already sized for my maps and have their info already in them also. I use the each map per page also so that I can have everything sized and ready to go.
