[LFG] GMT newbie looking for Shadowrun games

Hi, thanks for checking out the ad, so lets jump into it, long story short, I've been rewatching Roll4It's Shadowrun series and after a while I decided to try jumping in, despite some rather intimidating rules. So lemme provide a few pointers on what I'm looking for, I'm willing to hear out any game mind you, these are just the ideal situations for me. I can play pretty much any day of the week besides Sunday though Saturday and Monday are slightly  less preferred, I'd like a weekly game with a session running at 4+ hours and I'd prefer voice only but video and voice is fine for me, text-only is out, sorry just not my thing, also I am a British player so please check the timezone difference, I'm not getting up at 3 AM specifically for a game, no matter how tempting, sorry but my bed is better. :P Besides that, I have very little practical experience of this game though I am itching to get into it and although I am a fast-learner and pretty keen overall I'd still appreciate a friendly group and GM who are ok to the occasional newbie blunder or question, I don't intend for you to teach me the system completely, just to be patient whilst I get a handle on the system and be ok with providing a little guidance to a new player. There's not a whole lot more to add other than what I've already said, try not to railroad the group and just because I'm a new player please don't tone things down, consequences can be fun!
Just a bump post.

Gonna piggyback off of your post (maybe two people will help pique some interest?) and say I'm also looking for a Shadowrun game. I'm an EST player with zero real tabletop experience, but I know a bit about the world and rules from the RollPlay series. Any time in the afternoon for any day of the week is good for me, and I too would prefer at least voice communication.

As someone with a bit of experience with Shadowrun... my advice would be look for a hack of a different game system that uses the setting. There's FATE games and stuff that do so. The fun of the game is often despite the rule system.
Are you dead set on Shadowrun, or will a similar game do?
Hey Morec0 well I'm not sure if we'll be able to make the same game as you're about five hours behind me, it could work but it'd be a much more narrow window than with somebody from a more similar timezone, still good to know there are other newbies looking for a game out there! TED, I appreciate the wise words, I know that Shadowrun isn't the easiest system, I got that much from watching a few playthroughs, even before I opened the core rulebook. Shadowrun: Anarchy may be worth investigating but I know nothing about it. Also, as much as I appreciate the advice, can we please keep things on topic? This is a thread for finding games, unless you're offering or looking, can we keep the chatter to a minimum? Steely, quite simply, I don't know, Shadowrun isn't the only game I'm looking to play and I'm always open to new games but I can't give you an answer either way unless I know what you're offering.
I will send a PM with an lfg link.  The start time is adjustible for that day.
Sorry, I can't make that game Steely.
I can adjust the time if you want.  Otherwise, good luck and good gaming.

Love the setting but the rules meh! I would run the setting using a "fate core" type system , I am in UK GMT+0 on a Sunday evening start time of about 6pm my time

I'm not afraid of crunch at all, and I know SR well, but too many players of the system seem to think higher numbers are some sort of goal to aspire to. That rather defeats the purpose of actually roleplaying.
