Checking Interest: STAR WARS: Scum and Villainy

Hello, my name is Rasputin, and I am looking to see if anyone would be interested in a Saga Edition game set during the Rebellion Era. I have GMing experience with the d20 system and currently I'm itching to run something that happens a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Rather than revolving around the heroes (as is standard), this story will follow the exploits of a few of the galaxy's darker individuals: bounty hunters, pirates, dark side users, etc. One player is already planning to come on board as a Sith; as you can see, Dark Side points won't be an issue here. I am looking for players who want to play as villains (or at least anti-heroes) but can still maintain some group cohesion and cooperation for the sake of plot. Inner-party friction and conflict is fine as long as it doesn't get out of control. If you have any questions, comment here or email me at rasputin.roleplay@gmail.com
I'd love to join up. Did you have a schedule in mind already?
No schedule as of now. Currently I'm just interest checking and getting a feel for what sort of character each player might want. Figuring that out early well help me weave them into the plot, bring the group together in narrative, etc.
I'm interested in Joining up as well, I have a few sheets done up from other Star Wars Saga games. So I have a few thoughts about what I'd like to do. My Skype is Dekar2k5. Add me, so I can get some more information about the campaign please.
Done.
I would be interested in it, depending upon what day and time, but otherwise, it sounds pretty cool, if you want, you can add me on skype, axelvampir, this looks rather interesting to me.
Added.
can i be added
At the moment there isn't a game proper to be added to. But if you give me your skype address we can talk over some details.
The only star wars d20 game I've played is KotOR but I loved it so count me in
Grey side Jedi Heretic seeking to reconcile the force, start an enclave of Force users / sensitives IOT encourage interbreeding, reconciliation of various POVs of Force users. Find out what the force really is, without the silly Sithy Darwinism, or the nebulous and nigh meaningless Jedi Hippy speak? Like that?
IOT?
I'm thinking of playing a washed-up ex-pat of the Republic who fought in the Clone Wars who, in his disillusionment, turned to bounty hunting. Sort of a grizzled, war stories sort with a chip on his shoulder.
There might be a small issue with that, Derek. This campaign is going to be somewhat alt universe in that stuff like the Clone Wars, Anakin's fall, and so on will not be as spelled out as in the prequels. Rather, the events will be left more ambiguous and mysterious, kind of like how they were in the original trilogy. This is to give me some flexibility as a GM with the lore at large. So if you really want him to have fought in the Clone Wars, his part in it them will be at least somewhat vague. I've added you on skype, so we can go over the fine details there.
I see... Yeah, we can sort it out so it fits your vision, I think. I'm not set in stone or anything.
@Ras G. In Order To. (sorry. Habit)
I would be interested. The down side is I have pretty crappy schedules ( I am available to play 9:00AM to 5:00PM mom to fri). If that schedule is at all doable please let me know. I am having a lot of trouble finding campaigns and it is starting to irk me off. :(
TM: As long as he's able to work with the party reasonably well (which will include at least one obvious bad guy) then your concept should be fine. I like that he has a definite long term goal, but know that I'm not sure if I'll be using the optional Destiny Point system yet or not. Niall: What timezone are you in?
Sort of counting on/playing 'off of' 'bad guy'. Granted, outright murder and pointless crime/violence might be an issue. Probably take a more 'Batman as student of crime/evil' approach. Diplomacy and the like emphasized.'Lets see if we can't come to an amicable agreement/work this out' Part of the 'fun' is finding ones place. Removed from family as a child, then walking away from the rest of your associations (Jedi). The irony is, the order preaches detachment, and yet relies on all sorts of attachments to exist. One of the long term goals, is only potential. Too many questions about the Force, Metaphysical and philosophical inconsistencies to work through. It would be foolish to encourage development of better 'crops' through rotation and selective 'seeding', if what you are 'growing' is poison. Phase on deals more with a mingling and sorting of ideas, grain and chaff, without the elitism/exclusion of the better known force using/sensitive factions. In other words, maybe that (dark?) Forceror or Witch might just know a thing or two, possible buried amidst some philosophic rubbish. Phase 0/ongoing: Mastery the light before riding the dark. Niall is EST if memory serves. Destiny point system?
Sorry, I'm EST
Niall: Personally I'm available at times during the standard work week, but it all depends on when the others can come to the table. TM: In Saga Edition, anyone's character can choose a Destiny to fulfill by the end of the campaign. Doing so awards you a Destiny Point each level; they can be spent on stuff like forcing an enemy to miss you (even after they've technically hit you), automatically scoring a critical hit, taking a hit for another player, etc. Doing actions that take you closer to fulfilling your Destiny imparts a short term benefit while acting against your Destiny gives a penalty. Fulfilling your Destiny by the end of the campaign grants said character (assuming they survive) a permanent benefit or two. Note that no player is required to take a Destiny at all, nor are they forced to pick one at the beginning of the campaign. Doing so halfway through is fine.
Well if the game does end up being scheduled at a time that I can play feel free to contact me (PM will work). Though I may be joining a game that is play on Thursday from 3pm to 5pm. Nothing comfirmed, just thought I would let you know.
If a slot opens up, I would be highly interested in filling that gap. I've actually played the Star Wars d20 game a bit, and would love another chance at it. My schedule is pretty open, aside from Wednesday and Sunday nights. Thanks :)
If there is space and the time/day works I would also be interested in playing.
It seems there are enough interested parties to get things moving. I'll be setting up a real campaign page sometime soon. During or toward the weekend I'd like to have a collective session for group role planning, background fleshing, and scheduling.
Sounds good!
I love to play I play Killmartin or the white death, He is a headhunter who is will to take out any 1 for a cost. He dose not care who, what or even how old. Pulse with his is a sociopath, who bring the meaning vicious, vile, and spiteful person
Itching to RP I would love to play! I have 10yrs rp exp under my belt with half being a dm/gm/st. Lol I've only gotten to play villains as npc's due to being gm, I would love the chance to play one as a char!!! Please let me know if there is a slot open! My schedule is decently flexible as I work mornings so my nights are usually free. Thank you for ur time!
Not tracking a time frame. Perhaps it was lost amidst the commo clutter
I'm desperate for a Saga Edition game, is there a space open still?
@Threadmiser: I'm pretty sure this game is deader'n Dodge. Perhaps you should contact rasputin.roleplay@gmail.com. That's the cat who started the thread. "Luck".

I commented here? :)
I'm not even the GM, and likely not a player, in a nonexistent game. Most of the traffic, including the latest post from the prospective GM, is a bit over a week old. No good deed...
No sweat, I just don't count a thread dead until its two weeks stale. Good luck and happy gaming.
I'm up for a star wars game.
Somebody else can get this one. I'm scouted out for the day.
Sorry for not replying sooner, been pretty busy lately. Not really a good excuse, I know. The player list has been finalized already and while there are no current open slots, if that changes I will start sending out the PM's.
A slot has opened up for the game, if anyone is interested in filling it. Thus far we have a wannabe Sith, a grumpy Kel Dor gunslinger, a Togorian hand-to-hand combat specialist, and what we think is going to be an ex-Imperial Noble. Several developments have occurred in-game, but nothing that would prevent a new player from getting up to speed. PM me if you are interested and we'll talk over the details.
