Being able to edit recent messages?

Hey, I had an idea wherein you could go back to recently posted messages (say, within the past 5-30 minutes) and edit them to fix typos/grammar mistakes/retcon something (with permission from the GM, of course) whilest still keeping a comprehensive log without having to remember 'oh right, he actually meant x' or 'oh right, we retconned that to y'. Something similar to what Skype offers, I suppose. Though I'm not entirely sure it would be easily doable given how roll20 is being facilitated in completely online use, I'd certainly hope to hear it would be possible. If not, it can be dealt with easily enough. But the niceties in life are well, nice.
Wait, so... you'd be editing the chat? Might be something to do your own on the backed in a wiki or the like, if I'm understanding you correctly.
No, the actual messages sent previously, in the case of typos or retcons or whathaveyou that would become necessary.
I think the simplest solution for any retcons would just to make a CORRECTION: THIS HAS CHANGED FROM X TO Y! statement or similar in chat as the GM so that it's clear that you've made an edit. Firstly, you'll remember it easier that way BECAUSE IT WOULD BE ON THE SCREEN LIKE THIS; and secondly if you're elbows deep in campaign chat log, looking for the reference, you'll come across it easier. As for correcting typos or grammar, does that part really need editing other than a "typo correction"* message straight after?
Yeah... changing the old chat messages. We're not doing this. You can keep track of your own retcons. Or just not worry about your message window being canon. I mean... really. Come on. Sometimes I think people are trolling us. If someone is going to troll me, though, I'm glad they're named Party Cat. http://nedroid.com/2009/05/party-cat-full-series/
