Ok folks. Way to get things started. Recap: You all started from the same militia town on the border of the Fractured Lands, a place where in ages past...something terrible happened and it is now a wasteland filled with monsters and unusual and unique creatures. Your first task was to aid a local farmer in discovering why his livestock was missing. You found out why. It was because three giant trapdoor spiders had found their way into his cow pasture. A few days later you were sent to investigate another farmers complaints of missing livestock. Upon arrival you found the farmhouse ransacked and the mutilated bodies of the farmer, his wife and two of his three children. The youngest boy was found hiding in the closet. Your group opted to return him to the town proper and were then dispatched by your CO to continue investigating and eradicate the cause of the murder. With some difficulty due to the inclement weather overnight, Jean was able to track the missing animals into the forest to the northwest, towards the mountains that form the natural barrier between Thiam and the Fractured Lands. Along the way you encounter a pack of wolves which you defeat and note they are all wearing crude collars. You cannot make out the writing..if that's what those scrawls are. Almost losing the trail when it enters a wide but shallow stream, you cleverly follow the stream to the north and find it issues from  a moderate opening in the cliff face. Narrowly avoiding a pit trap that would have held you under water you enter into a cave complex and almost immediately gain the attention of two more collared and penned wolves. Kovacs silences them with some food and you continue exploring the caves to find they are inhabited by Goblins! One fight turns into a series of encounters as one goblin flees from room to room and warns the others of your presence. You overcome them all though with some difficulty. The Goblin Boss and his worg nearly take out Kovacs and Eira but in the end they fall. Collecting what little there is of value everyone now notices the many, sloppily/crazily/disconcertingly scrawled "S" symbols all over the wall and on the goblins themselves. What does it mean?
