Edited 1482864388
(Rewritten game description to better reflect the group and setting)(My previous write up gave a wrong impression) Welcome to Crucible+ Season 1! I am formally issuing a challenge to any and all players who wish to test their intelligence against my campaign. You will die... seriously! The Details... - Pathfinder Core Classes and Races - Play time Sunday 6pm EST Weekly - If you die, you are dead, and will have to create a new character to rejoin in. - Bosses and encounters utilize raid and party style mechanics. It is not all about stats. Smart play, teamwork, and puzzle solving will go a long way. - Core rules with minor homebrew on the GM side. (Bosses, for-mentioned mechanical encounters, item sets / shopping system) - Voice Chat for In/out of character We will be using DISCORD for voice and as a chat channel - Custom maps/characters/music I put in some effort :) - RP/Combat ratio roughly 50/50 - Starting level 1 standard gold (levels will scale relatively fast) - Prizes given to innovative players at the end of game/season (Prize value at GM discretion)(This is a bonus and not what the game is all about) Smart play and innovative thinking will be rewarded. Everything will matter ranging from rp, fights, and even the little things. In addition to the in game currency a custom currency will be added to reward smart play. This currency will be used in a weekly auction house as well as in game shops. You can expect mmo style Class set items to appear in the game granting bonuses to players with a 2-4-6 piece set. Thanks for reading and I hope to see a lot of you join in. It will be a blast and I hope to see everyone having fun with it! Lastly here is the story setting! Story Setting Gods are not exactly something humans can understand. While they seem to have divine powers and abilities, they are limited in what space and time they can exist in and how much they can effect a certain realm. The realm of Earth is a vital point in the war of the gods, however, no god is able to exist in this realm and thus rely on the strength and abilities of humans to act on their behalf. A group of a champions are chosen and set off on a journey to make sure that the gods who wish to harm the realm of earth are not in a position to win the war of the gods. As the champions strengthen themselves they play a significant role that influences the outcome of the war of the gods. Harsh trials and encounters with those who wish to see the world burn are inevitable. Will you rise and become kings or even join the ranks of the gods themselves? Will you fall to the hands of those who serve evil? Only one way to find out! Please Comment below with a show of interest / thoughts on the game, what class you intend to play, and private message me your skype contact information.
Everyone is going to treat this like a min/max combat challenge when all you need to do is pump diplomacy/bluff.

It is not a min/max challenge or a diplomacy/bluff stacking fest. It is something more true to the core of dnd. Innovation and creative thinking. Although some experience working with the rules will help you a bit.

Update currently at 3/10 spots filled looking to play next sunday!
I am a girl! :D I have 15 years of experience playing and running games, and I went to school for theatre and voice. I am creative, animated, capable of producing many different types of voices and dialects, and would love a chance to see if I'd be a good fit or not for your staff. I have skype, discord, bandicam, hundreds of hours on Roll20, and am big on collaborative storytelling. In addition to performance I can also bring other things to the table, such as teaching newer players, level design, rules-testing, etc. If you're interested hit me up and we can set up a meeting! Good luck on the rest of your prep!  :)
Staffing positions are filled still seeking a few more players! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
I'm interested, it seems like this could be really fun and interesting I like the whole war of the Gods thing for a concept, a lot can be done with that.As for a class I might like to play, I'm thinking either Bard or Rogue at the moment.
Update! Going to change the group size to 8 and currently have 4/8 players Looking to start next sunday after the Holidays.
Still Looking for 4 players! We will be starting this coming Sunday!!!!

Just a reminder to folks: Commentary on LFG posts should be related to questions (and answers) helping people determine if the game on offer is a good fit.  Anything else runs the risk of being deleted for being off-topic.
I am interested, what's the discord link?
Okay, *I* have a question! If this takes place in the realm of Earth, why are there Pathfinder races and classes in it? I'm trying to get an idea of what time period to expect it'll look like. Also, when you say core classes, I assume that means alternative core class archetypes aren't going to be allowed?
Correct. Archetypes, alternate racial traits, unchained classes, hybrid classes, alternate classes, base classes, occult classes, tech classes, and 3rd party material are not allowed. The only thing in all of Pathfinder that is NOT in the Core Rulebook that will be allowed is traits: two for free, and if you take a third you have to take a flaw.
@Robert L Great question! I do not want to reveal too much of the story but essentially you will be summoned to the realm of earth by the gods from the moments of your final hour in your home realm. If you want to know more please pm me and ill set you up in the game!

I'm glad to see you've updated the original post, Hakanai! Now it comes across much stronger as a campaign making an active effort to incentivise creativity on the part of its players. Am I correct in that assessment? I'd encourage you to perhaps adjust the thread title (if that's possible?) as well to emphasize that quality of your game and maybe bring back anyone for whom the previous way it was presented didn't spark interest.
