Aife was a skilled warrior, and knew battle well, though she was never the greatest at riding a horse. So it may seem odd that one of her first tasks upon arriving in Londonium was to seek out a heavy cavalry regiment. Though her father was a Mercenary Knight, and so was she. Even as a woman, there would be no doubt of that once she was accepted into the Equites unit. Her first task was to purchase chainmail armor, the true armor of a knight. She purchased the armor despite it's high price without a second thought. Money wasn't a concern, as the glory she wins in future battles will far exceed this minor cost. One might think that a pict woman may be small, but riding atop her charger in chainmail armor the woman looked ever bit as formidable as the other knights of the Equites. She was accepted in at the rank of Captain. She is known as a warrior in the north, but here was different. This was her first step, the first step in proving herself to all the people of Londonuim
