Labels for square grids

In some games, it would be useful to have labelled square grids, in the same fashion as grid squares are named on a chess board. Horizontal axis = numbers, vertical axis = letters, so the grid square 5 to the right and 1 down would be labelled B5, as an example. Essentially the same kind of thing as the hex grid; I don't see why this feature should be exclusive to the hex grid only. A poor demonstration, made gracefully on MS Paint. In extension (if this is allowed), in the same spirit, and again drawing parallels to a chess board, it would be useful to have the ability to right click a token and "Move to...", followed by an insertion of a specific grid square. This could be used for hex grids as well.
