Game started at the caravan where characters received various notes. Carric (the elf warrior) cozied up to Lord Benecium and even offered him half of a hobgoblin heart. Gregory introduced them to their 2 new companions (retainers of Baron and Baroness Cotte lent to Lord Benecium) Roach and Rurrick. As Gregory was approaching Carric ran off. The party opted to go to the campsite instead of traveling over night to Dravens' Port, mostly b/c Cassius wanted to help protect the caravan. At the campsite they saw some Drow. Rurrick began eavesdropping on everyone. Roach met Lindal Greenbottle a local folk hero and his brother who they really saw, but didn't meet. Roach and Rurrick discovered Lindal had been in an altercation from a Hill Dwarf Wizard from Gravelback (northern province) while in Guildstown. The wizard Ulgar Frostbeard had been asking about various local landmarks and undead, and Lindal decided to question Ulgar about his line of questioning. Something happened and Ulgar's wife hit Lindal in the head with a mug of ale. Next Gurgle gave Cassius one of the runed amulets the Kenku had been holding and then left. While Rurrick, Cassius, and Ailekk were discussing notes they found among the hobgoblins that seemed to imply undead might be involved, Zedra identified the handwriting as being Dree. He advised all three PCs to burn the letters. None of them did. Cue ominous music. Characters arrived at Dravens' Port successfully. One the way to the Stormy Shelter Inn (owned by the Cotte's), a human fighter named Kara stopped them as she apparently knows Lord Benecium. They met her friend Oron, a half elf, and continued on their way to the inn. At the inn they were met by Mistress Cywanna Cotte as well as the Baron and Baroness. Rurrick was outside as a badger digging in the dirt. They also met the half-orc Breschka, a tall drink-of-water paladin in full plate armor. They also reunited with Lindal and his brother. Cassius noticed a swashbuckler looking fellow behind Breschka looked magically disguised, and used his Paladin's Divine Sense. He then began retching at the sense of the amulet in his pocket. Breschka, intrigued by the situation, closed her eyes slightly and began retching as well. The two shared a special moment. The swashbuckler showed some concern for Breschka. Shortly later she left, with the Swashbuckler close behind her. At the same time, Mistress Cywanna whispered with Ailekk some before slinking off to her room after being chastised by the Baroness. In the tavern Rurrick met Feng the orc (who seems to think he knows Rurrick) and they spent several hours drinking. Ailekk roosted on the roof of the inn and noticed many green dragons coming and going. The Baron made some rooms for them in the inn and the party had a short rest. Later they had dinner but Cywanna did not return. The party had dinner up until the amulet in Cassius' pocket began getting warmer. He pulled it out of his pocket, careful not to touch it, and it was glowing. Rurrick began searching for Cywanna, going back to her bedroom and getting the guard to let him in. The window was open and she was nowhere to be found. Rurrick turned into a cat and lept outside but he could only smell badger. He climbed to the roof for a better look. Meanwhile, the amulet Cassius was holding kept freaking people out until Madam Skyreaver noticed it, shrieked (or hissed, whatever Dragonborn do) and fled with Lord Benecium's kobold henchmen hot on her tail. Rurrick the cat noticed (what he believes to be) undead moving in the lamp light on the streets and returned to dwarf form to road an alarm to his companion who came rushing outside. He then cast flaming sphere. The party is outside, awaiting what will likely be casual conversation with the undead who have come to Dravens' Port to welcome Prince Raffolk home.
