Keeping X number of rolls

I'm trying to make a hit-dice macro. So of the dice I roll, I want to keep the highest number of dice equal to my level (think 2d6khX, where X is my level). Using parentheses doesn't work. Is there anything I can do to get that result?

2d6khX is the syntax to  keep the highest X number of dice rolls . what's the exact macro code you're trying to run. Are you trying to roll 2d6 for each level, and keep a number of the highest rolls equal to your level (e.g. 3rd level would be 6d6kh3)? The way to do that would be: /r [[@{level}*2]]d6kh@{level} Assuming that your level is represented on your Roll20 character sheet by an attribute named "level". If you're trying for something else, can you give a little more explanation on it?

We've all felt that pain :D. I still feel that pain at least once a week (which is better than the daily experience it was a year ago:) ).
