As you may have gathered, I'm hoping to find someone to run a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2e game! I can be flexible about the the start time above, although I couldn't do more than an hour earlier. Monday would be my preferred day to do this, but I could do Wednesday or Friday at a pinch. While I would run this myself, but a.) I want to actually play and b.) I feel that the game I am currently running is giving me enough grief without taking on another. Enough of the boring co-ordination stuff, though, and let's get to the fun what-I'd-like-to-see-from-the-game bits! Medium. Text-based roleplaying, please. I am currently unable to do voice-based gaming, and do not see this changing any time soon. Setting. I... honestly don't mind. The Warhammer World is full of interesting poorly-explored areas (Lustria! Albion! Khemri! Araby! Tilea & Estalia!) as well as everyone's favourites (Bretonnia, Kislev, the Empire, the Border Princes). So, yes, I'm game for political skullduggery in Altdorf, or privateering along the Vampire Coast, possibly hunting for a fortune in Mordheim or even just mercenary-ing it up in the Border Princes. I would also like to go with either the post-Storm of Chaos setting the rulebook provides (possibly punched up a little, because there's so much potential there that's not getting touched on). No Age of Sigmar, please. Tone. I'd definitely prefer it not be all doom, all gloom, all the time. On the other hand, I also don't expect (or want) everything to be sunshine and puppies all the time - this is the Warhammer World, and grit is to be expected. So, hrm, how to phrase this... so long as a potential GM isn't actively trying to kill our characters, I'm quite happy with high lethality and high danger. Content. I think I covered this in Setting really. I'm actually quite open on this, though I feel that I should point out that I find the idea of a random group of peasants and nobodies cheerfully embarking on a quest to save the entire world kind of... odd. Not that Careers. Um, please don't force us to roll careers? Pretty please? It's cool that you can, and often useful for coming up with a character you wouldn't otherwise have considered... but I'd rather play a character I want than one the dice force on me. Random stats are fine by me, though, as is point buy or whatever. Okay, I think that covers the big stuff. Thank you for reading this, and I hope you (or anyone reading this) is interested in picking this up as a GM.
