I'm starting a game of Numenera. I'll accept up to 3 players (I already have two in already). Games will be held at 1:00 PM (13:00) Eastern Standard Time on Saturdays. This Saturday will be used for character creation and world building. Details about the rules and books allowed will be available upon request. What is Numenera? Numenera takes place a billion years in the future, humanity has a level of technology akin to 1000 AD, yet the ruins of the previous civilizations is all around them, and some of their technology still works. To ordinary peasants, this technology, called the Numenera, is akin to magic. Yet among them are people that understand that these miracles are probably the result of nanobots, satellites, and quantum communication. Mechanics: The Mechanics are fairly simple. NPCs never roll except for special circumstances. Rather than adding stats to a roll, characters can spend a limited amount of effort from their stat pools to decrease difficulty. This is called using effort, and points can be regained when a character rests.
