C02s02e05  - Hat Trick The team leaves the Gilded Edge behind and grabs the Sturdy Turtle and straps the Titan warforged to the bottom to fly out to add some muscle to the caravan raid. It's raining and muddy and messy as hell in the desert. At one point during the 4 hour flight a 50 foot trench caved in heading northwest towards southeast across the team's flight path-- looks like a huge sandworm tunnel collapsed under the rain as the desert silts get heavy with moisture. . Scrynoculars out, The team finds the mekillot caravan easy enough since the poor turtles are wallowing in muddy puddles. They actually seem to be enjoying the experience, though... bellowing loud and proud as they slop about to the frustration of their handlers the team strategizes ahead of arrival at 10 miles how to do. There's 6 mekillots in this caravan like the last: 1 back tower mekillot, 1 front tower mekillot and a central 4 box of mekillots carrying a platform where RaziR-- the Wolf Pack's oversized, armored scorpion ship lays in wreckage. about 40 slaves walk along side; 17 athasians, 23 obvious khorvaire prisoners-- likely wolf pack mercenaries traveling roughly with the ship.back tower has 3 balista, slingers and fighter types  front tower has 1 balista and a glider trebuchet, slingers and fighter types. More fighter types on the platform wtih the ship a squad of fighters and a handful of chocobo lancers keeping an eye on the walkkng prisoners. swooping low from behind, the team drops the warforged titan onto the back tower where it begins hulksmash the seige machinery. Frank drops 16 doses of crab custard into the bellowing gullet of one of the platform mekillots while the Sturdy Turtle advances towards the front of the caravan to cause further trouble. Dhraksis, Tug and THX fire down on the caravan's seige machinery and attendants to slow response fire the caravan looses the first volley, rattling he Turtle with balista and sling stones while the front end readies a glider for launch. groudn crew hug the mekillots while the towers open up with the guards all taking action against the ship or the Titan depending on their positions. After a few rounds of exhange, the titan has stomped the back end weaponry while wading through 40+ men slowly tearing down the warforged's armor... the front end seige weapons are disabled as well as lobbing a second barrel of crab custard into the lead mekillot's gullet and the constriction grenade down another mekillot's tummy to give it an ache and the team switches tactics towards capturing the ship. The titan is met with a human fighter along with a Draegoth witch doctor who makes the fighter apache chief big, wrestling the titan while the ground crew scattters away from teh caravan; prisoners beginning to resist restraint. Frank and tug feather fall down to the ship while THX and Dhraksis begin sniping at the Draegoth witch doctor. the ship is -9 into the toilet and Tug begins assessing his spell battery to mend the ship. Athasian redshirts board the ship to shoo tug and frank awahy but they go below deck and use grease to make a bottleneck THX drops Spirit Guardian while tug uses dust devil to knock folks around... between the 3 of them the redshirts die fast. By the time tug Mends the helm, Dhraksis has sniped the Draegoth witchdoctor and the titan alongside THX are roflstomping the ground troops. Just for kicks, THX uses Banishment on a chocobo rider, sending the scout to mechanus for 10 rounds. Natural 20 on TYHX's religion check, and the scout has a personal experience with infinite order-- immediate conversion. ED's first miracle! The chocobo scout is on board with his place in the multiverse and is anxious to aid Ed's efforts. The rest of the villains are routed... seeking refuge in the downpouring rain and new muds.
