Hi there! I'm Ashley and I have some requests up for specific group-based rp, but I'm also looking for a GM willing to run a solo game for me. I don't have a strong preference for what kind of game it is, currently, but have provided lists below of things I like and things I have played. I am hoping to find a game or three that runs weekly in the evenings. I am located in EST time zone (GMT -5) and am available after 6:30 to whenever we decide to stop (within reason... I do have a day job, haha). These are the genres of games I enjoy : Fantasy (High, Low, Urban, Mythic, etc) * Historical (Realism, Fantasy, etc) Science Fantasy Superheroes (Original or Marvel) Horror (Fantasy, Urban, Eldritch, etc) Post-Apocalyptic Survival Horror (Zombies, etc) *I have gotten an overwhelming number of fantasy games offered to me and at this time, though I enjoy playing fantasy, I am going to be stepping away from taking any more on. Systems I play (with varying levels of familiarity/experience) : D&D 5e ** 7th Sea 1e Vampire: the Masquerade 7th Sea 2e* Scion 1e Marvel Heroic Scion 2e* All Flesh Must Be Eaten *The books for these systems are still being printed, obviously, but there is enough information to at least do intro-type games either via quickstarters or use of purely the core books. **I am no longer looking for D&D 5e campaigns, thank you. I am not "married" to only playing the genres and games listed above. I'm quite open to learning others. I'd love, for example, to learn to play Firefly , but have had no one to teach me. The only thing I'm definitely not interested in is Star Wars. What I'm looking for from a GM : I am looking for someone who can handle running the world and NPCs, who can think on the fly incase I manage to push in a direction he/she didn't have planned originally, and who is dedicated and engaged. I am not looking to pay you to run a game for me, but IU might be willing to consider helping with costs if something from the Marketplace is necessary for running the game smoothly. I like open communication and joint creative efforts when it comes to things like creating characters (I can't make a character for your game/setting when I know nothing about it, so input is always appreciated. I also find it helps for a GM and player to discuss and build characters background's together as it makes it easier to create a story focused on the character, rather than focusing a character on the story). More information on myself : Name : Ashley Age : 30 Gender : Female RPG Experience : Played in my first table top game (D&D) at 9 (21 years ago), DMed my first game (D&D) at 12-13 (18 years ago). I have done everything from story-heavy text-based freeform (no system) to actual sitting at a table and playing general hack-and-slash styled dungeon crawls. Preferred Play Medium : I would prefer to play over voice (via Skype or Discord), but I'm also open to pure text-based. I'm not really interested in video. Schedule : Day Day/Afternoon Availability Evening Availability Monday Unavailable Open Tuesday Unavailable Open Wednesday Unavailable Unavailable Thursday Unavailable Open Friday Unavailable Open Saturday Open Open Sunday Open Unavailable Possible Schedule Difficulties : I am a single parent living over 1k miles from my son for the next several months for work, and may occasionally need to take a 15 to 20 minutes break during play to call and tell him goodnight. Usually these calls happen around 8 to 830 PM and they rarely last more than 20 minutes. Obviously, I will try to plan around our game days/times so they won't interfere, but I hope you'll be patient if it's unavoidable. I also live in Miami, FL, which means that occasionally traffic is a nightmare and I might get home a little bit later than usual. I'll always try to let you know if I'm running late. Misc Info : I write professionally and as a hobby, and love a story with interesting characters (I honestly find that interesting characters and NPCs can inherently make a game entertaining, even when there has only been minimal work put in to the plot). The more in depth the plot, the better, and I love, love, love sandbox play where there are plenty of directions I can take my character based on "hooks" provided.
