GM looking for two players!

Hello everyone! I'm running a 5e game at least every other Friday (I'm a college student and a tutor, so this is subject to change!). I have two open slots and I'm taking the best two applicants I get! I have one new player and two buddies that I have played with for a few years now, so a good mix of experienced and new! I'd rather not give out the premise of the game to everyone, though I imagine a snapshot view can be found in the active listing that I have.  It should be noted that we are an English speaking group of guys (so if you're a female, I'd love the diversity!) who know each other's boundaries and could come off as abrasive or offensive to outsiders at first. While not our intent, ever, I tend to drop this disclaimer none-the-less as a precaution. We use Discord (it will be required that you have a working mic to play!) and often hang out outside of game, so you're welcome to join us then as well if recruited. Application process: Proposed Race Proposed Class Proposed Alignment Do you have Discord and a working Mic? Give me a brief snapshot of how you envision your character in the following scenario: You arrive in a large city on market day. The city is already densely populated and full of the manner of scum and villainy you would expect, so imagine how much worse it is on a market day. You attempt to push through the throngs of people to reach a particular booth near the center of the city, but to no avail. At this rate it will be empty or nearly so when you arrive. In order to reach your destination quicker, you cut down an alleyway only to discover a band of thugs besetting a small family (Man, Woman and at least one child) and threatening them. The man is bleeding from a cut on his lip and a few individuals are menacing the child in a way that sets you on edge. What do you do? Feel free to message me this or post it here, I'm not too picky!
What time slot?
Roughly 11-5. That is my idea session length. Could be shorter or longer on any given day depending though.
Starting level? got a few fun Hybrid-class char ideas, but would need to know starting level to decide what one would be playable

Proposed Race:  Team Human! Proposed Class:  I'll play any role that isn't taken already since I'm 99% DM... But I guess I'd stick to one of the four 'core' classes of Fighter, Rogue, Wizard, or Cleric. Proposed Alignment: Neutral Good Do you have Discord and a working Mic?: Yes Give me a brief snapshot.. I'd yell at them to stop and call for help, then dive in and help the man try to get into a fighting way so we could protect his family until help arrived. If none came I'd try to distract the brigands so the man could escape!

We have a Cleric, a Druid and a 'Wizard' (using a custom built class known as a Magus). Not that I'm completely opposed to multiples of the same class in a party but I prefer variety so Fighter or Rogue would be awesome! :D
Is that 11am to 5pm? I wish...

If you've still got a slot open, I'd be down to join. Fits my schedule perfectly I'm interested in running a Neutral Good Human Wizard, Though I can certainly change that if need be. I do have discord and a working mic. Dealing with thugs can be difficult. Best to try and use a little magic to see if I could scare them off first. I'd hate to have to confront them directly. Pop a few firebursts, maybe a few loud illusory shouts, and pray that they run away. If not... Well I'd cross that bridge if I came to it
Proposed Race: Half Elf Proposed Class: Card Throwing Magus Proposed Alignment: Chaotic Good Do you have Discord and a working Mic? Yep For the Essay: I'd enchant a card with shocking grasp and knock out(not kill) their leader. Id then threaten the other thugs and tell them if they didnt leave now they were going to regret it. I'd then make sure the family was okay and give the child a piece of candy(My character carries candy around for kids)

Proposed Race:  Human, variant (unless you wanna homebrew another race that can start with a feat) Proposed Class: I'm decently verital..depending on needs. With a limited Lv1, little hard to build a fun char unless you leveling us decently fast, but feel a tricky Domain cleric, a either Eldritch or Battlemaster Fighter, a Monk of 4 Elements, or an Arcane Trickster would all be semidecent classes to play. if you know where i can find some non-core book classes, i might play one of them as well (only ever seen the core book). Proposed Alignment: Chaotic Good/Neutral (depending on char) Do you have Discord and a working Mic?: Yes Give me a brief snapshot.: Depending on the char. The Cleric and rogue would try a bit of slight of hand to get the robbers to leave the family alone, then possibly even try and convince the family for a 'reward' for her own 'family'/'church'/w.e. The monk or fighter would step in and try and disarm the theifs, serving as a meatshield so the family can flee.
Proposed Race: Anything, it all comes down to when the character is built. I rather have the race come into play with the world and the group.Probably not elf or halfling tought. Proposed Class: Cleric is my forte. I like playing anything but pure arcane casters.  Proposed Alignment: Good or Lawfull, not both.. I think. Depends on the scenario and group. Do you have Discord and a working Mic? Indeed I do Give me a brief snapshot of how you envision your character in the following scenario: You arrive in a large city on market day. The city is already densely populated and full of the manner of scum and villainy you would expect, so imagine how much worse it is on a market day. The man is bleeding from a cut on his lip and a few individuals are menacing the child in a way that sets you on edge. What do you do? I calmly explain to the thugs that they need to leave, while they still have legs to walk with. If and when they attack me, I fight defensively until the family has left and then leave myself blending into the massive growd. If they keep the family as hostage, I figure something out to free them. After all is done, I figure out an alternative route to where I was going. Still need to get those potions.

Hi Rob B.  I've been getting into dungeons and dragons since a few months now watching streams and videos on the web  and i'd be happy to find a group of nice people to play my first adventure with. So i'm new to this and roll20 but i know how it works mostly thanks to all i could watch and find if that's ok with you and your group . as for the little interview  Proposed Race : Human 1st choice and dwarf probably if too many humans as second choice Proposed Class : Fighter  Proposed Alignement : Chaotic good i would say with the background i'm planning to use Discord and working mic : both ok :)  Now what i would do :  (assuming the background i have in mind stands i would be a young and kinda stupid guy who left his home to become an epic adventurer but has his head full of fairytales and he's actually kind of a sacredy-cat )  I would first slowly back up in the alley trembling with the hope to find a guard nearby to help so i could go on my way and not face the situation, before stopping in my steps thinking that it could be my first step to become an adventurer like i dreamed of all this years...Then with a half strong(because scared as hell too ) resolve to be the hero would step in front of the thieves  and tell them(with a trembling voice) : Leave them alone... please...  then depending on the thieves reaction i might try to give them a bit of gold to get them to leave me and the familly unhurt  or maybe a bit of intimidation mentioning a fake nearby guard but if ultimately no other choice to sav the famillly i would fight them. Anyway hope you would be interested and that my non-experience won't be a problem i'd like to have fun with you and your groups without being too much focus about rules and stuff like that and more about having fun.
