Inability to pay?

I am trying to pay for a mentor level supporter account. However, everytime I try to pay it says "your card was declined." I am entering the card information in correctly. I have enough funds in my account... so what is the issue? If a moderator could help me out with this... I would love to contribute.

Please email team@roll20.net to speak to the Devs about this.
Sorry about that. We've had folks try the next day and be fine, or use a different card and be fine. Unfortunately the archaic way the processing world is set up, all we get back is 'card declined.' No reason -- could be it's an anti-fraud measure by your bank, for example. Hard to know. You can call your bank/card issuer and speak to them about it and sometimes they can clear things up. Sorry for the trouble!
I called my bank, and it was an anti-fraud measure. Since the company "pings" the account for a dollar first. Which is a common thing for fraudalent companies to do apparently (According to TDBank)

It is my understanding a lot of companies (even companies like Amazon or Apple) ping your account to verify credit card information. Some may even place a hold on the account with an X amount of money. This can be a real problem with non-credit cards because of overdraft risks. Rather than the full amount a single dollar shouldn't run the risk of an overdraft risk. Here is a link where Apple explains this practice: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3702
