Questions and Subscription

Where on earth would someone ask questions? I had to hunt for the FAQ page, but then there was no link to ask other questions or contact at all. Anyway: my question. If I subscribe to a paid version as a DM, do my players also need the paid version to get the perks, or is it through my account?

So no, your players won't need to subscribe.

If a player has a subscription, they can get access to the Character Vault, and get rid of ads (although the ads on the VTT go away for a player in a game where the creator has a subscription anyway). That's pretty much all you get out of the subscription if you're never GM. All the other perks either aren't part of the VTT (like Pro forum access for Pro subscribers, or extra votes in the Suggestions forum), or they're made available to (or otherwise benefit) players when the campaign creator has a subscription.

The best place for this kind of question is the section of the community forum called Specific Use Questions . Link to the Customer Support FAQ is found in the footer (bottom of the page), https://wiki.roll20.net/Customer_Support_FAQ From there you click on Roll20's main email address (for questions that can't be answered in the forum, such as billing or account-related). It also links to the Subscription FAQ page, which gives more detail in response to your question, similar to the answers posted by members of the community above. https://wiki.roll20.net/Subscription_FAQ
