Typical Roll20 data usage?

I am considering purchasing SKT and using the Roll20 module as a projected battlemat. There will only be two computers in the game (one for the DM, one to project the map as a player). As I will be running in a remote physical location, I will have to use my phone or other device as a hotspot. Does anyone have any statistics on the average data usage of a game per hour? Thanks.

It is pretty heavily dependent on the content of the game. The more assets you have in your game the more has to be sent over data. So for example a game using many high resolution images frequently is going to use more data then low res tokens on very basic map outlines. I unfortunately do not have the module so i can't give a good estimate of it's data usage.

I don't have any stats, especially not for hourly usage, but I have run Roll20 over my phone before, and it didn't use that much data at all. If you're not using Roll20 for voice or video, the biggest data usage will be images, which should only be downloaded ONCE per session.  Beyond that, there will be the HTML/JavaScript to download, and data will be sent to update to update positions/create new objects (like tokens), but the amount of data used by those processes will be low. Also, keep in mind that even if you're not actively doing other things on the Internet, you computer might, such as downloading software updates.  If your OS supports it,  be sure to mark the connection as "metered" , which should cut down on background usage. I've got a game I'm playing in a few hours; I'll try to gather data from that, but it won't be the cleanest.

With my very rough data capturing, it looks like I used about 29.4 MB of data in roughly five hours of play, for a rough average of 5.9 MB/hour.
Thanks alot James. That's very helpful.
