Hello, new user here, trying to make my first campaign, and one thing I quickly notice is that if I'm using the select tool in Google Chrome, and my mouse cursor moves over my avatar, it ceases expanding the selection box, and if I move the mouse cursor between the avatar and the bottom of the screen (just in the course of dragging to select), it selects the entire righthand pane. After a cursory search, I read a necro'd thread requesting the ability to hide the avatars, and it was suggested that that be posted here. The ability to hide avatars seems like the easiest solution, and would also provide the ability to use that screenspace however the user likes, but at the very least it'd be nice to be able to drag a selection box 'under' the avatars. I suspect this is an OS level function, though.
