Is that $100 per person, or across the entire party?
Per person Justin.
Hi Andrew, Just trying to get a handle on what the campaign will cost if we choose to partake. Three 3-hour sessions per month, $100 per player/per month. $100/9hrs= $11.11/hr * 4 players= $44.44/hr * 3 hour sessions= $133.32 per game * 18 games= $2,399.76 for the campaign, or $599.94 per player. Is this correct? Thanks in advance.
If you've ever watched dawnforged on youtube, he is definitely worth the money. If I wasn't so broke, I'd do this in a heartbeat. Best of luck Andrew. Love your stuff!
Hello, I am interested in joining. Before I commit to anything, what do you offer beyond the normal Roll20 SKT module? Are we going to get any API, bgm etc. facilitation? I saw your youtube channel that already had some SKT going on, is that the quality we should expect? Sorry for nitpicking, 100$ per month is a huge investment for me and I would like to know more about what you offer.
Dustin: That's pretty close, though the sessions are usually not exactly 3 hours. Sometimes we go over by a bit, sometimes under. It is also including my preparation time in the overall cost, as well as a session write-up after each session, and one on one chat time as needed for the players. Scott: Thanks much! Apostle: I deviate from the module in many areas. I customize what is already there for both the players' character goals and backgrounds as well as the, sadly, numerous parts of the SKT campaign that are not all that great. I've streamlined a lot of the content there and have added many of my own custom items, feats, abilities, side quests, and other elements. The players will also benefit from my, humbly speaking, fantastic roleplaying and characterization of the npcs, as well as my strong group game focus philosophy of DMing which keeps all players engaged and participating and does not allow for selfish, game ruining behavior. Though the quality will largely depend on the players and how they work together, I will be doing my part to ensure that they are heavily encouraged to work together well, and that at least the world they will be playing in feels alive, the story and roleplaying engaging and entertaining, and the encounters interesting and challenging. I'm not sure what you mean by "API, bgm etc., facilitation" though so many you can clarify that so I can respond to it.
I see that as a player there are requirements to play, what do you promise as a GM to do for the players in return aside from running the game. Is there a commitment on your part to run the 3 sessions a month even if something comes up? If there is a problem in the group and you as the GM decide to leave will there be a refund of the money for the remainder of the month? Could you explain what safety I as a player would have that you do not decide to make up a problem for example and take my money?(I know this is not likely due to the recommendations I have read but it is a fear with paid GMing in general for me and the last question is theoretical in nature.)
Erzrig: In addition to running the game for the players I also deviate from the module in many areas. Additionally, they receive a summary of each session including notable npcs, knowledge discoveries, enemies fought, items received and any other relevant information. I won't be leaving, this is my full-time job and I've been running games professionally for over three years now. I also have a YouTube channel where many of the games are hosted and you can look back to see my track record. If something did come up where I needed to quit halfway through a month then the payments would be refunded, but this has not happened, at least not on my initiative.
