I apologize in advance. I can't for the life of me remember who did what I'm last nifht's adventure! Please comment your inputs and corrections =) Upon entering the guano mound, we were met with a peculiar sight. A series of metal lockers with copper tubing coming from the top were channeling blood into the middle of the room onto a cylindrical artifact. There was a large pentagram inlaid into the floor as well. We quickly realized that this was the artifact we were looking for, and that there were people inside the lockers! With some further investigation it was discovered that this room was a large mechanism built to channel blood from the victims to somehow feed the cylinder. The blood from the copper tubes soon stopped flowing and the cylinder began to vibrate and shake convulsively and (Phrygia?) attempted to make it stop by hooking herself up to the machine but the cylinder seemd to reject the blood. Gahldra grew frustrated and flopped a particularly juicy corpse onto the altar and poured the emaciated victim's blood all over the cylinder with her shovel. Also to no avail. The cylinder was becoming more and more unstable by the minute! Meanwhile, (Theedi?) and (Lichalia?) discover a secret door leading to a hidden back room. It seems to be a sleeping quarters of some sort. They scooped up everything that seemed important and valuable only to be cut short by a loud commotion in the next room. The cylinder opened and a supernatural creature was attacking the party! The shadow, while terrifying and dangerous, was dispatched surprisingly quickly by a powerful magic missile from (Lil' Maggie?). The day is saved! Gahldra and (Phrygia?) never saw the killing blow though because they had taken the cylinder and run... only to stumble in their haste into the acidic yellow piss pool below! Eventually the party got back to the entrance of the large cavern with one victim who managed to survive the diabolical blood-siphoning contraption. Excited to begin the TWO DAY ascent back to the surface, the stop momentarily to catch their breath. As they turn and make one last glance at the large cavern, a swarm of flying eyeballs emerges from the pile of feces in the center and makes an aggressive arc towards the party! What luck! The creatures are no match for the party and I quickly decimated. Finally on to that two day climb back to the surface! After the first full day of walking, the companions rest and everyone sleeps great except for (Who??) who hears the laughter of a maniac in his head and can't find restful sleep that night at all. Another long day of uphill climbing. As long last the surfaces within reach! Upon emerging from the cave, it is quickly apparent that we were expected! The party is ambushed by squat humanoids covered in nasty spines! After many of the party become paralyzed by their wicked claws, the companions turn around and make a powerful come back against the porcupine men, slaying them all. They quickly discover, though, that the demon that was released back in the guano mound has evaded our grasp and escaped into the wild! The survivor introduces himself as a priest of a god of knowledge and invites the party back to his abandoned village to rest but as he spoke, the wizard's portal home appeared. Wishing to spend no more time in such a dangerous place, the companions bid the priest farewell and enter the portal. Gahldra couldn't shake the feeling that going with the priest was a good idea but regardless, she follows the companions through the portal. The blindfolded wizard congratulates the party on their success and rewards them with 25 gold pieces each and a place to stay for the next week. He also made it clear that whenever they are ready to return to ravens keep, he will make a portal available to them to get back home. Some pictures to illustrate last night adventure!
