Looking for DM for solo game.

I have years of experience in D&D and have played a huge variety of characters. The one kind of game I have never played though is a solo game. I am looking for a DM to run a solo game in 3.5. The setting can be anything: classic adventure, cityscape and politics, save the world, or heck, even an evil game. I am down for any world or campaign you want to try as long as it is at least mid level (I have experience with all levels of gameplay but haven't played anything over level 7 in a year and a half. I miss it).
Any particular reason why you are seeking solo? Other than "expressed desire."
Honestly? Every game I have played in for the last year or so has disbanded because of people either being too apathetic to the campaign, lack of ability to show up, or a combination of the two. I love exploring a good game world and try to rollplay with the best of them, but persistence has always backstabbed me for this one aspect of my life. So I decided to try a solo game because I can truly devote my time and energy to it without having to worry about the schedules of 4-5 other people. At this point I feel a mild level of desperation.
Seems like what I have seen work in that area is a group of mature, dedicated players, who are committed, regular play. No need to feel desperate. Those games exist here. it takes careful screening of players beforehand. A little bit tougher to find, because the majority of D&D players are seeking 5th edition these days.  That's what most DMs run now, because ... long story... but that is where the player base is at. I have a 5e game on hold right now, that has been down for a year, because I emigrated out of America. But I am a narrative style GM, that likes worldbuilding and low fantasy gritty campaigns, with rare magic and very few spell-casters. Also, for others who might respond, are you willing to try other versions of D&D than 3.5? Are you willing to try non-fantasy?
Yeah, I have had people who try to be mature and come on time every week, but somehow the game always falls apart before it gets good. Also even though it was aimed to other people, I'll say that I have tried other versions of D&D. The one I have spent the most time on outside of 3.5 is 5e. But for some reason it just doesn't appeal as much as the former. Maybe it is because 3.5, despite having atrocious balancing problems, has the largest amount of content available. As a result, it just feels limiting to play other versions (With the exception of pathfinder. Too much crunch). Also I am willing to try non-fantasy, but preferrably after I can try a solo game.
Yeah, I'm having the same issue you are Andrew. I either run into the truly inexperienced and unwilling to learn or ones who favor certain players, or no one can keep a consistent game like you have stated above. I love character development, and a great story but, with the experiences I've had recently or well the past year, its very rare to run across a game that actually has be excited for the next installment. I'd love to play a maybe 3 person RPG (DM included) with NPC's filling out the rest of the game that was consisent, that was exciting, and basically character driven. I'm not looking to re-roll a character every session or be a target for the GM or just in general every single game, sometimes the story calls for that, but, a game thats just designed for character failure is not something for me.
Then would it be possible for you to start up a game and put out a request for a DM? I would accept an invite in a heartbeat.
If you are interested in Pathfinder, I'm starting a player group. I can DM a duo group on the side of the larger guild. The Setting is a Guild run by Ratfolk that fund adventurers on their quests. As a member of the guild you could interact with guild mates while still going out solo. The group will have a 1$ pay wall to filter for more serious players though.  I'll be back if this catches your interest. :)
