being a knight. When the king's advisor and high sorcerer proposed
magically boosting the standing army, the King was hesitant. So he
called for a demonstration, and Rogers volunteered. The advisor
performed a ritual turning the squire into a powerufl warrior - but evil
monsters attacked during the process. Rogers survived, but the advisor
and ritual were lost. Picking up a magical shield he found in the armory, Rogers has sworn to defend his kingdom against
the threat of evil. CHARACTER NAME: Kal El RACE (AND SUBRACE): Goliath CLASS (AND ARCHETYPE): Monk (Way of the Sun Soul) BACKGROUND: Far Traveler FREEBIE: Fly Speed equal to Land Speed DESCRIPTION: Born on a remote island known as Kryptos, Kal El's parents foresaw the island's destruction at the hands of powerful wizards. To spare him from destruction, his parents stowed him away on a foreign ship destined for the mainland. The island was destroyed soon after, but Kal survived and was raised by two farmers who found him in the ship's cargo hold. Raised with their good morals and values, he used his strength and abilities to defend the family farm from invaders.
