Adventurers who have said yes to joining the guild: Feng (thanks to Cassius) Anna (thanks to Swell) [How much money did everyone take with them?] The party met with Oron & Breschka. Breschka hugged everyone, Oron gave a run down of the people they'd rescued. Reis and Rurrick went to go interrogate the prisoner, Vikkas. He is a human, only speak in Elvish (but understands common), and has a blind hatred for mages which apparently includes bard like Reis. To him they are "mages". After some time messing with him, they finally decided to leave it up to him. They met for a drink around Rurrick's brewery for a bit and hung out. Rurrick hears Some hobgoblins were in the middle of town when things went
down. They’ve taken over a small part of town. Ravens are thick lately. Many have died, but the town has been mostly reclaimed. The
reinforcements have helped, but what is happening outside of Dravensport? Plot is quite happy with the mask, although she turns it
down because she recognizes its worth (almost instantly). She takes to wearing
a bag over her head instead with some eye-holes poked out. She begins to speak
to him in dwarvish, albeit timidly. She seems more comfortable speaking in
dwarvish than elven, and will answer more candid questions. He gets the sense
that, wherever she is from, speaking in elvish is more common so more people
can understand.
Ailekk Watches as the people from all over Dravens pour into town,
first their warriors and heroes, and on the second day militias from all over the
land. Nate pipes up, he was working at a nearby table, “You know, if all these
people arrived to help the people here, who is protecting their homes? Is this
beneficial to Oron and Breschka? I wonder who might take this opportunity to
attack so many unguarded villages and towns? Did you just see some gargoyles on
the horizon?” Ailekk sees no gargoyles. Nate laughs. Something he was
working on shoots up in flames and he starts cursing in Sylvan. Ailekk is welcome to go and ask as many people as many questions
as he wants.
Urd Tolande and Ximdil spend their time with the refugees, but
also greeting the new people from out of town. They act as diplomats of sorts,
as do Urd & Arieth. But they spend more time connecting people with their
own who were in Dravens’ Port at the time of the attack, all the while trying
to collect information. Urd and Arieth are responsible for being there when all the
“heroes” and “leaders” of the towns and villages roll into town. Over the
course of 2 days Urd meets halflings, dwarves, humans, dragonborn, half-elves,
gnomes, half-orcs, kobolds, orcs, and other humanoids like tieflings. He loses
track of the people he meets in that time. Arieth seems as similarly lost as he
is. Elbricht is seldom seen, however Lillineena is getting a
quick reputation. Apparently over the past couple of days (before day 6) she began
cracking down hard on potential slavers she identified in the castle based upon
her interrogations. By day 6, anyone thought to be a slaver quickly gave up
their thoughts after witnessing her brutally butcher a couple of would-be
slavers in the courtyard. She has been walking around with leather armor on.
Rumor goes, when angered a greatsword of some size “materializes” in her hands
as she swings at her foes. It’s all the chatter.
Cassius Cassius has seen more death than the others, but also more
humanity. As the new troops arrive, they seem a little startled by his
presence. But the symbol of Bahamut on his breastplate, while written in blood,
is enough for most of them to be social. He sees them cleaning up the streets,
helping each other, and standing together against both undead and other
adversaries. After a bit, he realizes Vudigs is a cleric of some kind or
another. But not of a dragon diety or any other he has heard of [make a
Religion DC]. When people start arriving in town, Vudigs goes for the docks
over the town. He is instantly reminded how much the rest of Dravens dislike
the Nards. Carrius witnesses more than one instance of disdain and distrust of
him and his kind. Carric continues to fight along side Cassius, but seems more
comfortable fighting around the orcs than the elves. They treat him like a
super-scary little brother. When people start arriving in town Carric seems a
bit nervous. He likes the fight over the talking. He begins focusing his
efforts on the docks. Feng shows up, slapping Cassius on the back and
congratulating him for rescuing the “Maggik folks.” He seems as delightful as
ever, and happily goes into combat clearing out undead and gangs that have
begun to try and take over territory. On at least one occasion, he sees Feng
walk into a back-alley with some gang members denying help, “Nah, I can take
this sarge. Ya’ll go on ahead.” Only to come back a few minutes later covered
in blood and smoking from some type of fire tossed on him and smiling. He seems
to be drinking less. Ailekk has taken one of the orphans into his lab to help.
Cassius keeps his ears open, the best he can, but hears little of Kaaska. He
thinks that if Kaaska is around, he has probably relocated to North Dravens’
Port or Guildstown.
Reis Reis meets with Breschka and Oron, they seem happy with him.
They give him a full run down of the situation (as the other PCs understand
everything). They explain the situation looks pretty bad because the undead.
Everyone Amongst the soldiers, they knows that North Dravens’ Port is
where the poor people live. Dravens’ Port is for merchants, nobles, the middle
class, and their servants. The poor folk live in North Dravens’ Port. Guilds
Town is on a river to the northeast of North Dravens’ Port and is where the
guild infrastructure for Shrave and supposedly some other realms is operated.
Guilds of every nature can be found their, and it is a haven for guilds that
would be considered illegal in other realms. Good or evil, guilds are not
freely accepted in every realm and Guilds Town is their legally protected
haven, by the will of the nobles.
The 8th Day On the 8th day, they decided to head to Guilds' Town to see why they had been so silent this entire time. With plenty of troops to reinforce the town they figured it was time to leave. They made their way out of town after some heated discussion, with one of Ma's apprenticed "Froonsnyr" in tow with them. They made it as far as the Royal Market where they noticed 5 merchants, one selling animals, one selling religious supplies and symbols, one selling "Games of entertainment and tools for re-entering your boarded up home", an art craftsman in the middle of crafting a bronze statue of Cassius (unfinished with no arms yet), and one selling flowers. Urd bought some poison from the thieves' tent, Rurrick bought two bats and a lizard from the animal shop (the bats flew off), and Cassius intimidated the holy supplies merchant who had plundered supplies from the local temples. Rurrick belched at him (casting poison spray at the same time) causing the guy to fall to the ground screaming. Froonsnyr had offered to set him on fire. Cassius gave him a healing potion and reported him to the guards. They guy promised to give his whole stash up to the guards. On the way out of town they met up with the halfling brothers Lindal and Eldon Greenbottle digging graves, who offered to go help check out Guilds' Town. On the path north they met some dragonborn and kobolds from Kytt. A kobold briefly stopped to talk, saying they had seen people on the ramparts of Guilds' Town but hadn't gone to check it out. The party camped by the bridge over the river Wovahn (Voe-fawn) over night. The next day they hit the road to Dravens' Port and headed north. Reis took out his spy-glass and could see people on the ramparts.
