I'm mainly a visual person when it comes to referencing info, and as such I've started to add tokens to areas of the North map to help me remember what's going on, then text from the adventure as detailed info. This way, as the players travel to a certain area, the visual clues remind me to consider what's going on in that region. For example, one of the attached images shows a Hill Giant and a blue line around areas in the Dessarin Valley. Clicking on the Hill Giant token, it reminds me the affects of Grudd Haug, both in Hill Giant attacks and the damming of the river, as well as male Hill Giant mates roaming the area. The other attached image shows a shield dwarf near Ironmaster. This reminds me that Ironmaster is populated exclusively by dwarves, and other races will be challenged near the perimeter of the vale. I wish I had started doing this in October, when I started the adventure, as I think it would have allowed me to immerse the the players even more (I missed the 'low river affects' when the players were nearby in Goldenfields). Either way, live and learn, and I plan to keep growing my campaign / future adventures with this idea. I hope this helps others, whether by using the same idea, or tweaking it for their needs!
