Due to an apparent miscommunication, my group is seeking a DM to run a D&D 5e campaign for us. It can be homebrew or premade, whichever is most convenient for you. To prevent any further misunderstanding, we are including some important notes below: Due to kiddos and/or work, we can't start game before 10 PM EST. But we are free every day of the week (except every other Saturday, currently). We are all very heavy roleplayers! We enjoy RP by text during downtime between
games, with the DM and other players. We don't like to just show up for
game time. So an outlet such as Discord to continue roleplaying our characters is ideal. DM flexibility. We don't have crazy characters, but we do tend to have
very different and unique concepts. So we respectfully request the use of Elemental Evil, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, Voldo's Guide to Monsters , and ideally Unearthed Arcana . We currently have a theme to our characters, but it doesn't affect the game mechanics at all. For fun we created fantasy incarnations of Marvel or D.C. Characters.
Example: Styvian (Steve) Rogers was a skinny squire who always dreamed of being a knight. When the king's advisor and high sorcerer proposed magically boosting the standing army, the King was hesitant. So he called for a demonstration, and Rogers volunteered. The advisor performed a ritual turning the squire into a powerufl warrior - but evil monsters attacked during the process. Rogers survived, but the advisor and ritual were lost. Taking up a shield he found in the armory, Rogers has sworn to defend his kingdom against the threat of evil.
So it's still the Sword Coast setting, and you don't have to change anything. It's just that the characters have a theme to them that we found fun. Our current party consists of "LeStrange" (Human Cleric), "Ivy" (Half-Elf Druid), and "Nightcrawler" (Tiefling Monk). Again, just inspired characters and not meant to be actual adaptations. If this is acceptable to prospective DMs out there, please drop me a PM! Experience isn't as important as politeness, activity, dedication, and flexibility. Looking forward to hearing from you.
