Hi roll20 team I'm having the worst experience I ever had in roll20 today with text editing. I really appreciate the awesome work you guys did with the character sheets, forum support, macros, modules, etc. But I'm really upset with something that theoretically should make me have a fun time. I lost more than 1 hour today trying to make this work and I simply can't understand what is going on. There are two things I don't like about roll20 text editor I consider them both bugs: - First when you save a handout the impression I have is that it closes the handout before getting the response from the server whether the handout was successfully saved. That made me countless times loose everything I typed and formatted (and yes not red warnings saying connection with the server was off). Could we just wait if the handout was saved, then close the edit mode, and finally open the read mode handout again? Instead of close edit mode, wait response to complete, and then open read mode. Because when the save request fails you still have the edit mode open so you can copy and save somewhere else everything you spent your precious time formatting, and typing, and adding quotes, and bolds, and links to other handouts, and and and..... - Second is that for one specific handout I have every time I try to create any type of header or create a quote, it ignores completely what I'm selecting or the line I'm at and formats several paragraphs that has nothing to do with what I'm trying to format. The solution I found so far is open the devtools, edit the HTML and add a fu**** <h3> tag or <blockquote> around what I want formatted. But this is just driving me crazy, I tried copying the handout, pasting over, format back to simple text, and many other things but nothing changes. The Handout is inside a campaign I own called "Curse of Strahd" and the handout name is "Areas of the Abbey BUGGED" under folder "Chapter 8: Village of Krezk". I love roll20 for the fact that it saves me time, with the modules I buy, the compendium, and how it helps me prepare content faster since my free time for DnD is very restrict. However I somehow managed to get very non productive and fun weekend with simple text editing.
