Stealth Layer - Suggestion

With the whole line of sight, I feel like there is one final missing piece. A Stealth layer. In any game with stealth, and a full party of characters each with their own sight, they all may not see the same thing. Currently as a DM/GM I have to have everyone roll (or roll for them) and then tell them all, or message just an individual player to tell them what they see. This is unfortunately hard to do. I feel with the line of sight, the view angle and a stealth layer, the immersion would be complete. Essentially what I am asking for is a value assigned to a token, that is on a layer which is on the "stealth" layer, it is an in between layer of the token, and the GM layer. It would be a checkbox on the token layer, that would transfer the token to the stealth layer. On the stealth layer, it would be assigned a stealth value(perception) and a easy to use player "found by search" list, which would be a drop down list as to which players could see it (this could be used easily if someone actively searches for something and is able to find it). I believe this feature would be extremely valuable and appreciated by GMs and players alike. Since obviously pictures are worth 1000 words, it would solve the issue along with line of sight and line of sight view angle that certain player characters can see objects that others cant'. With the "player can see" or "found by search" list, creatures that are trying to hide where certain characters would automatically see them such as keen vision(low light etc), could just be added to the list. I guess it doesn't even have to be a separate layer from the token layer. The token layer just needs two additional values, a "perception" value, a "stealth" value, and a "can be seen by" list.
I don't even think you would need a layer for this. If it were possible to set a value on a token, a value on a player token, and render the non-player one invisible to anyone with a matching score of less. This would also open up other avenues of using compared values. you all see the ogre now? ok, if you pass value #2, you see the red-tint on the tile indicating his rage. The player that didn't pass doesn't see it. This can be applied to highlight certain visual features not everyone knows about (the rogue didn't tell anyone about the trap door? ok, he, and only he, sees it in yellow). Basically, I like your idea, and sort of think the idea that there could be an easy way to have the things players see as different would be cool. On the other hand, you have to trust your roleplayers. if this were live with an actual tabletop, you would either not put the stealth tile on the board (which, if you need to simulate where it is, can be done on the GM layer), or tell your PCs they don't see it, and trust them to act accordingly.
Yes, I know sounds there isn't really an easy way. Although I do wish we could tie short jukebox sounds to macros, I would just love a stealth feature.
Roll 20 is a virtual table top. I personally would greatly enjoy something like this but I wouldn't expect a massive change in game play from how things are played on a table.

Here's a reply I posted in response to another topic. I think it applies here as well. I would like a bit more granularity in the permissions, but I think that might be another topic. I would like to see the following separate permissions for tokens. This allows for revealing an enemy to a single character, illusions, mind games, etc. Token View Token Select Token Move Token (viewing and editing the token properties is already covered by the check boxes) Journal View attributes Edit Attributes View Abilities Execute Abilities (Token Macros) Edit Abilities (Token Macros) <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/465502/#post-478" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/465502/#post-478</a>...

I think the simplest solution is a stealth layer between token and GM player. Any player can see their own tokens on this layer, and move them, but cannot see the tokens of any other player. As in the OP, you'd need an easy way to single-click way to switch between layers for ease (maybe a toggle the GM sets for each token, not accessible to players).
