Just wanted to add that this is an ongoing game. Some episode recaps: Episode 6 Sensor Alert So the good Ryan Searle with his mad doc skills made it so only a few days go by for the wounded like Wrench and then helps revive the others that were floating in space for weeks ( Nekoms , Edison "The Hammer" Hammacher , and Penny Armëtar ) in the suspension pods. A bit more than a day out from White Water the SS Screw Driver begins to receive broadcasts. Buster has been watching a brutal gladiatorial battle nanite controlled to the death slave battle. While most show discuss the captain and team also notice that they have received some legal messages from the broadcast that is now reaching them. The war in the system has been legally broadened, the system has been closed for some reason preventing ships from leaving, and that identification cards will no longer suffice as nano integrated identification will now be required by all freemen or that status is lost (compliance in 2 weeks required or possible slavery ). Wow. news Just as the players are processing this sensors begin to identify incoming objects and to everyone's dismay one of the objects is soon identified as a torpedo (can see more regarding space Torpedoes ). Then more objects are identified as 3 interceptors are coming in. The only sounds are of the manuever drives kicking in as the Goliath class bobs and weaves to avoid impact. The Gauss gun is then brought online as the main weapon. Massive ferrous metal chunks are flung at the oncoming torpedo to no effect. The maneuvers though pay off and the torpedo does not detonate and doesn't end them all. In fact as it passes a few shots of the ballistic cannon were able to hit it. Eventually evasion and cannon fire has got the torpedoes frozen on a coarse away from the ship. Huzzah survived it. Now we wait to find out what happens with the 2 remaining interceptors. Who fired the torpedo and send these fighters? Why? What will now happen to the crew? Will the crew be able to find out or are these fighters going to get revenge and take out this Goliath Invasion class ship? Episode 5 It's just one bounty hunter After the murders that had occurred the whole crew and players were on edge. The players bravely cowered in a room unwilling to separate while one dressed up for bear. Finally lord calix tusk was ready and so the group left. A quick look down each hallway and captain Wrench walked confidently out. She then took a hit from an unknown assailant and went down. Lord was right behind her and also took a hit but the armor kept her from succumbing. After a brief exchange of additional fire the culprit, a lone ship drone , was taken out. Meanwhile tumbling through space were surviving remnants from some type of ship disaster. There life pod had been tumbling through space for the better part of two weeks. Those that were on the flight deck of the ss screw driver heeded the distress call and docked. A new team came on board promptly being disarmed. The group then made there way to the bridge. As the first group took the elevator the second group on a floor above had called it to also go to the bridge. And so the two groups met up when the elevator opened. A quick discussion occurred and moments later they heard the sound of something firing up, like well a rocket. A few reacted fast enough to get a bit more clear but all were in the blast radius. The captain succumbed again this time incapacitated from severe wounds and so did some of her crew. The rest then tried to fight it out. A quick exchange and drone that used spikes to kill prior crew was destroyed. Then shortly after that the bounty hunter continued the exchange blasting the drones that were there to protect the party. Soon a raging charge occurred as the four arm man went in for the kill and instead got popped right in the head with plasma radiation. The battle lasted for maybe 30 seconds when finally Ryan Searle got off a lucky shot to hit the bounty hunter with his own plasma blast ending the stand off. Now weeks have gone by as the captain and the crew healed. The battle had been a great lesson for many and a final lesson for at least 2. So how did a loan bounty hunter decide he could take on the entire crew? How much is it going to cost the group to one of many scars that his cargo is now late? How about those fuel levels, the damaged elevator, destroyed security drones, crew pay, and that god awful smell coming from room 374-B?
