Do you mean only a "header" bar shows up with the sheet name on it? I noticed this in a game last week and it puzzled me. Then I found out that just double clicking on it restored the sheet to its full size. I think this is a method for minimising the amount of screen real estate your handouts hog.

A screenshot, as well as what character sheet (D&D 5e OGL, D&D 5e Shaped, D&D 5e Community, D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, etc.) you are using, might help. Is this happening to all players or just you? If you are the GM is it happening to all characters?
