The Chronicles of Almeron: Where there is Life. My name is Kenneth and I am one of the players in the group. The DM Rogue responded to a post I made on roll20 looking for a DM for a RP and character driven game. She's been DMing for nearly 3 decades and when she responded to my post I knew that we both were looking for a lot of the same thigns. - A character and Story driven world, where the emphasis is placed on character development and interaction over stats/numbers - A rich, immersive setting with high fantasy and magic - A cooperative well balanced group that emphasises working together - A group which takes the game seriously but can still be light hearted (OOC drama is a huge no no. We're all adults. IC drama/conflict is encouraged within reason') Kalistar is a magic rich, low technology world, meaning that things like gunpowder and explosives (Flintlocks, cannons etc) do not exist. The party is encouraged to wait until the first meeting to create their characters so that we can all work together to create a balanced party. *Please note, only races/classes from the core Pathfinder book are available for characters ** Power Gamers, Munchkins need not apply. The focus here is character development and interaction not making the best character numbers/abilites wise possible. See below for a message from the DM " Almeron is the name of the Planet. the adventures are going to take place on one continent, the land of Tyridies. It in intself has quite a few kingdoms and countries, but one city, Kalistar, sticks out as a central hub for politics, trade, and whatever else. When kingdoms or territories or countries have differences, Kalistar is a Neutral city where everyone can meet and discuss their differences. The adventurers will start out in Kalistar, and explore from there. They would have heard of far away places, but have never left the city."
I would like to join in on this game.  I've been learning the Pathfinder system for well over six years and within that time I've also been playing 3.5 and 5e for the past two.  I also have experience with live action role playing, so immersing myself into a fantasy setting has been very simple for me to accomplish.  I'm twenty-five years young, I reside in the eastern time zone, and I currently work nights as a consistent schedule, so meeting the 6-9pm is perfect for me.  If you're interested in having me, please feel free to send me a private message and we can discuss further as for which role I may play.
Will there be any houserules? In my experience, a character- and RP-driven game is more skill based than usual, whereas Pathfinder is heavily combat focused. Classes like Cleric, Fighter and Paladin, for instance, don't really have the skill points to operate on an even keel with the rangers, rogues and bards of the world. With only the core book classes available, there's also not the option to sidestep the issues by picking, for instance, Oracle instead of Cleric, etc.
