[LFP][5e] Friday 6:00PM EST Homebrew Campaign
Hello everyone,
We are a group currently playing Friday’s at 6:00pm EST over Discord chat. This is a homebrew campaign world with changes to major elements of the game.
1st Gods don’t exist in this campaign world. Instead people pray to, and worship things that help them survive the day to day. For example, a person may praise the field for giving them food, the forge for giving them tools, and the walls for protecting them against the horrors from beyond.
2nd Overland travel rules are being modified to bring more stories into the game. As such the background Outlander, and some Ranger abilities will be modified in the future to not trivialize the overland travel element of the game. Also anything found that trivializes story will most likely be modified in the future, however this is the only aspect of the game I would like to explore.
3rd New players are welcome, and I am perfectly willing to teach someone how to play the game. However, I expect effort in return.
4th No Resurrection Magic
If this sounds interesting to you, then great! This is what we are looking for and a few expectations:
The story is based on player decisions, and their interaction with each other’s backstory. There are real consequences to your actions that persist through the game world. People can travel from town to town telling stories about you, and their interactions are either positive or negative. NPCs will remember you if they are frequented enough. The story is about the player characters.
I like having PC information, and secrets that get to be revealed by the player when they feel the time is right. Some of this information is given to you at the beginning as part of your backstory. I prefer not to label my games as having X% of RP and Y% of combat, because that is simply driven by the players. I will have an entire session of RP if that’s what the story calls for, or an entire session of combat.
I will let you know that as a result of playing this game you will most likely receive what is at times harsh criticism. There is no ill intent in it, it is just to provide feedback and make you a better player.

- Players over the age of 18.
- 2 Players (I would prefer 2 female players; however I will consider male applicants as well. Note: 1 spot is reserved for a female)

- Collaboration with me on character backstories. To fit the campaign I’m trying to give each character a personal quest. Also, I will have to fit you into the next story arc, and I have no idea what the players are going to do next…
