[LFG][D&D5e][Shadowrun] Newish player looking for a game to get into!

Hey there, Thanks for taking the time to check this out. I’ve played D&D on and off for 3 years or so, exclusively offline. I’ve recently tried to get into online gaming as it’s getting harder to find people to play with in my area. As I said, I’m experienced in 5e and I’m competent with the system. I’m currently DMing CoS and playing a PC in a separate homebrew. I’m a little clunky with roll20 but I’m getting more confident with it. A little about myself: I’m 25, I’m a bit shy at first but I can come around quickly. I can find humor in about anything and I throw in a lot of comic relief with my characters. I’d like to say that I prefer heavy roleplaying but I’ve yet to be involved in a campaign where it was focused on.  One of my goals with D&D is to get to the point where characters are well developed parts of the world. All my campaigns rarely get pass the goldilocks levels. It’s one of the coolest parts of D&D in my opinion and I’d love to get involved myself so, I’d prefer to play in long campaigns but I’m open to anything. That includes other systems as well, Shadowrun and World of Darkness interest me a ton, though I would be very green in terms of those other systems.
I would shy away from Shadowrun and D&D 5e unless you have an experienced DM in those systems. They can be difficult to run smoothly without knowing a lot of rules and the power levels vary wildly across character builds. 3.5/Pathfinder is a lot like that too but those are the game systems that I have found the most enjoyment out of personally. The White Wolf (Vampire/Werewolf/Hunter/Changeling) games are light on game mechanics and heavy on story which is perfect for an inexperienced group/GM or if you are a casual gamer. As someone who has been playing for nearly 20 years and has a campaign that has lasted for the last 5, I think the most important thing is to have people who are dedicated to the longevity of the game and who are willing to spend the time and effort getting new players as well as who show up consistently. Find a group of players where they all show up on time and one with multiple who can GM if something comes up. That is a winning combination in my opinion. I don't currently have any games open that are not pay to play. If I did, you would be invited to join me.
