I am looking to make a macro that will specify an word. I want to assign 6 elements to a number. Ice, Water fire Lightning, Earth, Wind. I want to roll a d6 and it tell me which element it chooses. What would be the macro to run that.
You need to create a Rollable Table and then call it by that tables name: [[ 1t[TableName] ]] <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Collections#Rollable_Tables" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Collections#Rollable_Tables</a>
Yes. The GM would need to make that table for you. It's the only way to get random text. Your other option would be: &{template:default} {{name=Random Element}} {{Roll=[[1d6]]}} {{1=Earth}} {{2=Fire}} {{3=Ice}} {{4=Lightning}} {{5=Water}} {{6=Wind}}
The biq square is for formatting, to keep your post as a unit and make it easy to read. You could just as easily make a macro that said: Roll=[[1d6]] 1=Earth 2=Fire 3=Ice 4=Lightning 5=Water 6=Wind or even one line: Roll=[[1d6]] | 1=Earth, 2=Fire, 3=Ice, 4=Lightning, 5=Water, 6=Wind But the template is far more elegant.
