Joining the game, new character

Thanks for your invite via Discord to join this Conan game at "GMT-friendly" time slots. Is there a gaming session scheduled for this Friday, April 7th, 2017? How about character creation? Should I create a character outside Roll20 and put a link to the character sheet here? It seems you are not using the freely available Roll20 Conan character sheets (I have tried to use them in my Conan games on Roll20 and they have proven a bit awkward - especially because they cannot take all the necessary information that needs to be kept during the game like Fatigue, Despair, etc.) What type of PCs are already in play? What archetypes? (Regarding spotlight it would be good if I can build a character that does not occupy a niche that is already taken by another PC.) Are there some restrictions regarding choice of origins, castes, archetypes, etc.? (It wouldn't make sense creating a noble cavalry expert when the campaign is all about seamanship and piracy on the Vilayet sea for example.)

Hello, nice to meet you and welcome to the game. You can create your character using the online character generator and then you can request the GM to assign a new character sheet for you. We also have a scoundrel from Nemedia and other two playing as mercenary and shaman from different location. I think we will have a game on 7th but it will be better if you can confirm it with the GM.&nbsp;

Yes there is a game on the 7th&nbsp; If you use the character generator listed above that's fine WA are all using the Conan sheet and have got used to its quirks so if you're interested I shall put a sheet up for you when you join

So you have a Noble Warrior (probably good at close combat, animal handling, command, etc.), a Scoundrel (probably good at persuade, thievery, stealth), a Mercenary (probably good at melee combat, parry, athletics) and a Shaman (probably good at persuade, lore and sorcery). What kind of ability do you think would best compliment this group? A ranged combat expert (Archer)? A crafter? A scholar? A priest? I assume the Shaman is a Sorcerer, correct? - Would a priest with sorcerous abilities fit in this group?

Sure but sorcery takes a lot of time in Conan to get spells and is very risky saps resolve

I don't know about playing a sorcerer. Isn't the Shaman in the group already a Sorcerer? How about a healer or an archer?
