Since we had back to back sessions, here is the recap of the first. I will put up one for the other session later tonight, unless someone beats me to the punch. One-Eyed Jester The group spent some time talking with the 3 Ladies in Waiting, the Matron, and the Fool. The ladies we pawning over the men in the group, each looking for their own "Champion". The Matron was pretty intent on not letting the ladies talk with the men, and the jester sat their acting like a fool. At one point, Margrave used his charm and seemed to have gotten the Matron interested in going away to spend some "alone" time, but the Jester quickly intervened and pulled out a dagger threateningly. Blades were drawn and the situation started to escalate. Some smooth talking by one of the party diffused the situation, but when we tried to leave and take Maggie with us, she refused. Fearing that she was under some sort of enchantment, Gonzo cast sleep on the 3 Ladies, the Matron, the Fool, and Little Maggie. All feel asleep except the Fool. Theedi grabbed the 3 keys from the Ladies and Margrave grabbed Little Maggie. Having detected that the Matron was the only "Good" entity in the room, Bheldor attempted to grab her to get her away from the Jester, who may have also enchanted her. As Bheldor grabbed the Matron, the Jester thust his dagger in to Bheldor's back and all hell broke lose. Wepaons starting swinging and magic filled the air, but it was Lichalia's word of Command that seemed to cause the jester to stop attacking long enough for Gonzo to blind him. But, that didn't stop Bheldor from returning the blow... only Bheldor plucked one of the jester's eyeballs out with his sword and tossed it across the room. Gahldra thought it would make a nice souvenir and put it in her bag. We then proceeded to tie up the One-Eyed Jester and grabbed the sleeping Matron and Little Maggie and heading to the throne room. Three-Eyed Monster We decide to hide downstairs and lock the door to keep the Jester from following them. Using the 3 keys, we opened the hidden stone slab in the throne room and descended the spiral stairs. This led to a large circular room with high vaulted ceilings. There were lots of mirrors hanging from the ceiling and jewels embedded in the walls in the pattern of constellations. There were 6 archways leading out of the chamber to the N, NE, SE, S, SW, and NW. Stepping on the the floor caused the brazers on the walls to light with a flame. They extinguish when leaving the room. Leaving the Flayed Man behind in the room with the still sleeping Matron, we decide to head SouthEast first. This opens in to a large cavern area. There is a pool to the East and several alcoves to the SE and South. While investigating the pool, the lights in the middle room go out, we hear a weird animalistic shriek, and turn around to see a giant lizard-like creature. Standing 18' tall, it has the head of a rooster, the body of a lizard, long claws, and 3 eyes. Looking at these eyes, Bheldor, Margrave, and Hrissa immediately turn to stone! Gonzo reacts by casting Sleep at the creature and is successful! One-Eyed Goo After a couple of prayers, the Licahlia is able to "cure" the stoned members and we head to the southern alcove and find a hollowed stalagmite holding some eerily glowing liquid. Bheldor sticks his sword in the liquid and seems to get entranced while looking at the water. He asks the pool to show him where his parents are, and he sees their graves. When he tells the group what happened, Theedi tries to use the pool in the same way and the liquid suddenly raises up and forms in to some stange pseudopod creature and attacks! The group seems to dispatch the creature easily, but find the pool no longer has any liquid. Lying at the bottom of the pool they find 2 plaques. Bheldor grabs them and each has a different picture on them. One appears to be some sort of female sorceress and the other appears to be a male wizard. As the group is contemplating what these are, we hear the shriek of the Three-Eyed Monster from the room behind them! Seems that the gnome's Sleep spell has worn off!!
