LFP - D&D 5e West Marches game

Looking for players for a West Marches-style D&D 5e game. Specifics can be found here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/73901/beyond-th... Scheduling (and story naturally), will be player driven with variable party sizes and composition. Details for likely times etc. can be found in the above post. If you have any questions or want to join, add a thread there. Cheers.
New to D&D looking to play
That shouldn't be a problem. Mind you, you'll also have to learn Roll20 but it's pretty easy. The Wiki and Help sections will certainly help on the Roll20 front. Welcome aboard.
Hey, I'm new to DnD looking to play! EST with a similar schedule as yourself actually
That should work great then Nicholas. I would recommend a Skype discussion prior to building your character and check out the Roll20 Wiki and YouTube videos to help ease manipulating the system when we play somewhat. You will need to put an application in the game thread to apply though. I can't add you from here.
Hello, Treialle. Three of my friends and I are interested in starting a game however none of us are able to DM. We are all fairly new to DnD, two that have played a little bit and two not playing much. It would be awesome if you would be willing to DM for us. Also it says that you require webcams. Is that you require us to be able to see yours, or that we all have to have webcams? Let me know how this sounds to you. PS our times sync well with yours.
Cams help with gameplay in general IMO, since there are visual cues to act upon. Especially since chat programs only really allow one person to speak at a time. I find voice only challenging to run and play, especially with larger groups.
Hey, Treialle I am D&D vet, about 8 years. I have similar schedule to yours as well as EST.
Oh okay, I understand that it would make it easier. Using discord/skype allows multiple parties to talk at once which could add a more realistic character dynamic. Despite the fact that none of us have cams would you still be willing to have us along? Our schedules are all sync'd so we'd only be part of the adventure at the same time.
I would like to play. Please pm me!
Owen & Kirk: I would put an application into the game thread using the above link. That's a lot less accounting for me. Bryant: It also sounds like you and your friends want to play together all the time and switching up the group composition regularly is a big part of this game. In fact, it's required to avoid cliques being formed. Coupled with not having cams, which is a must for this game, I'm not sure if those things would be deal-breaker for you.
I'm interested, this sounds cool.
Great. I also got your PM and will respond there.
I'm interested if you're still recruiting?
There are still a couple of slots left in the overall group....
We're still looking for another player or two. Ideally players looking to play once a week or once every couple of weeks. Check out the link and let me know. Cheers.
Hey Treialle, definitely interested in/around that Saturday early afternoon / morning timeslot. I have a few months experience as a DM in Roll20 and looking to start a game as a PC. Hit me up!
Hi Coco, This game works best when players have a slightly flexible gaming schedule. If you're only free on Saturdays, that limits your participation to only those times and there's no guarantee that's when the game will be scheduled. Scheduling is player-driven and nights on Mondays, some Tuesdays, Thursdays as well as weekends are the usual times.
Yeap! Understood that after doing some research which still works real well as I generally keep my weeknights free and Saturday mornings.

OK then it sounds like a fit. You will need to apply in the game thread though for me to send you the invite to the campaign.
So if you're looking for a game that happens at least a couple times a month or possibly even as frequently as weekly, we're still looking for fun, engaged players to round out our active player pool. Check out the link above!
This sounds like a lot of fun. Can't wait to try it out.
Welcome aboard Adam.
We still have a few inactive players, so if you have a somewhat flexible schedule and are looking for a player-driven, exploratory game, check it out.
