Can this be done? Should it?

Hello everyone. first of all, sorry if I'm posting this on the wrong forum but it seems the most fitting for me. Lately I've been thinking about DMing a game of D&D but not in the d&d universe, but in the world of Monster Hunter (the Capcom game). Since there's no TRPG for Monster Hunter that I know of I was wondering if I can use the D&D roll system for hitpoints, dodging, attack and, of course, stats. I'd take my time to give a twist to the 4 main classes. Anyway, the main question isn't if this can be done IRL because that's most definitely a yes, it's roleplaying after all, but what about here in roll20? Should I label it as a D&D game or as other game? And another question, this related to if I "should" do it... Would you guys be interested? It would be a story set after Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate since it's the one I know the most.

It would be best if you labeled it as "Other" and put "Monster Hunter" or something similar in the title and desciption. The "should I do it" question can really only be answered by yourself as around here it is usually "If you build it, they will come".
