You walk into your house, after another normal day, when you grab your mail on the way in, throwing it on the counter as you enter. But something catches your eye. A letter placed neatly between your knife holder is there, and certainly wasn't in the mail you just brought in. You grab it and on the front in a brownish sloppily written ink, it says your name. You open it and inside are only a few words, also written in what now appears to be dried blood. "I know why you can't sleep at night. I know who watches you when you turn out the lights. I know what you fear. I know what you hold dear. I know where you live. I want what you have to give. Come to Sister Anne's Sanitarium on the 11th of october, or the next batch of notes will be written in your blood. Tell anyone and you will spend your life on a saline drip with your feet cut off, hanging from a wall where no one but the spiders can hear you scream. Sign your name in the book in the bookcase and bring it. Be there at 7 PM. Your life depends on it." Panicking, you wonder if you should call 911. This person was in your home! But even if you did there's no evidence to lead them to a culprit, and the lazy ass police around here certainly aren't going to baby sit you. He could get to you even if you told. You must play along. When you walk into your living room where the bookcase is, you immidietly notice a leather bound book, with a wrinkly look and feel to it. It is eminating an eery blackish glow. You open in and inside is languages you've never seen before, looking almost pre historic. On the first page however, it is written in english. "I bind my soul to this book, so that i may see the unseen and hear the unheard. I will un-silence the passed, and perform the cast. They will walk again, our one and only friends" There is a line with an X next to it where your clearly supposed to sign. You put the book down and walk away, thinking this is insane. You look down and your back at the bookcase, holding the book open... You try and distract yourself and do other things several times, but you as if out of no where keep appearing where the bookshelp is with the book in your hand. Finally after questioning your sanity, you sign it. The book lets out a low groan and slams shut, floats upward, and disapears altogether in a flash of black light. Whatever that was about, theres no way it's over. You are scared, and to afraid to tell anyone. You go about your daily life until the 11th of October, when you gather supplies to prepare for who knows what tomorow. Answers at the very least, you figure. That hospital's been abandoned for 3 decade's, and is in poor shape, but people aboid the property like the plague. You think you now know why.
