Cursed items in my campaign

Hey guys its come to my attention you are trying to sell these items for a gold value. Unless your alignment allows for you to lie and say these items are not cursed selling them will not be possible. If you have an Chaotic neutral or evil alignment maybe I could see you trying to lie about it with a high persuassion roll. These items we not given a gold amount because no one besides you was meant to wield these items as they were a gift from Arlen. If you wish to sell these items they would be worth no more than 100g a piece as the curses are pretty bad on some of the items.
Gilth is Chaotic neutral, and it was a first come first served for the magic items. If I was able to trade a cloak of invisibility (cursed of course) for a mask of disguise I am certain I can do something about selling these things.
I would say not only would you have to find a buyer but you would have to convenience them they are not cursed and take an alignment hit for potentially killing this merchant if he uses the item. As 2 of the items you want to sell can literally kill you if used. I sent you a PM with the worth of the items based on the curse attached to them but i would say the persuassion DC would be 18 to sell these items to a merchant at the very least. I would get with the DM's and ask them what they think.
neutral will go into evil?

I am just saying that these items can and will kill the user if they are not informed of the curses attached to them. So if you were to lie about that to sell the item that would be an evil action. But thats up to Mark to decide but that would be my ruling.
Ok

Seriously though, I don't mind dealing with PC downtime from other adventures. BUT always check with the DM you got the stuff from first. It is really up to that person as to how it is dealt with. There may be plot related things to deal with... like in this case.
As for the sword of life stealing that is an uncursed item which would need a value I thought it would be a good drop for u guys but everyone have +2 weapons already so we would need a value for that but the other items I would say u can just delete them from ur inventory if your not happy with them.
Gilth would always try to sell stuff if he has a chance to sell them and if he does not need them.
Ok if Daniel can help me with this selling this item than that is fine. So will try to sell these items after Hammer 24 and give a couple days for Mike when he tries to sell his magic armor or was it the shield?

Only Cursed Items hold to Alignment shifts. If you try to sell them.
What does that mean?
It means that since you would have to be evil to knowingly sell someone an item that could harm or kill them or that is cursed in general. Your alignment would change accordingly.
Would it not depend who I sell it to? I know enemies who have enemies but cannot openly attack them wants them gone. A present of wonderful item given to an enemy has been seen throughout history. I would bet that if the Lord's Alliance would want these cursed items to get rid of en enemy of theirs or keep them safe from the clutches of their own enemies. Thoughts?
If a villain was approached by some unknown character offering them an item, they would probably be suspicious and either identify it or refuse.
Unless the seller tells him to give it to one the buyer's enemies and it is cursed.
Considering the case here then yes. However, if the buyer is killed as a result of what you told them to do. (Ie. the enemy figures out it is cursed and kills him.) You would be at fault. This is up to Daniel to decide anyways lol.
Buyers beware do not just hand it over to the enemy just like that. The buyer has to figure out a decent way to hand it to the buyer's enemy without the link between the buyer and the cursed item has a connection.

Selling it honestly, I believe would remove any guilt on your part that would change your alignment. What the people plan to do with it is on them. However, it being a cursed item, as Daniel said, it will bring a much reduced price. If you sell it without telling the buyer of its curse, the sell would be an evil act and would potentially cause an alignment shift. Hope's of getting a steep price out of it from the Lord's Alliance to use on their enemies, is probably a bit of a stretch. Selling it as a means to commit murder would probably also constitute and evil act. That's why people go to jail for conspiracy to commit murder. There would have to be specific circumstances, to not be an evil act. For example, used on an evil wizard who is all but untouchable, but that would take a lot of downtime to find such a perfect circumstance.
Interesting thought Daniel. I have the Ring of Two Truths , and if I were to sell that to the Order of the Gauntlet , would that be an evil act? Info : the ring makes all those near you unable to speak a lie while within proximity to you. Curse : you must always tell the truth as well. Disclaimer : I do not actually want to sell it as I love it dearly lol. Just a ,what if?, scenario.
As your does not hurt people no. His items literally take HP from you
oh ok.

Either way I gave you guys the cursed items for some utility and for fun they are not meant to be sold as they will have little to no value. For some of you they should have been upgrades but alas you had better gear already.
I loved mine, but I pretty much started Archaeus in your campaign and he had no magic items, so this is all he has got lol. I would not sell any. The only one I am considering unattuned is the cursed fire resistance ring so I can get a normal, non-cursed version lol. I would never consider selling it though.
And that ring makes you weak against cold right?
yes
I'm just curious, what were they?
There were several. They were fighting the two faced god so most items had a benefit but also had a downside. Some more than others :)
Yeah I remember that.  Played one session long time ago. There was a sword that had a double thingy.
I got most of them. Shield of sacrafice that gives a bump to AC in exchange for HP and some points of exhaustion, Blood thirsty dagger that needs ome blood for a +2 attack and a d8 necrotic damage to either user or target, gloves of compulsive gambling, increases profiency in gambling checks in exchange for exhaustion, finnally a ring of mind shielding.
