Turn Your Favourite Characters Into Fate Characters!

Sometimes practising on non-original characters can really help you get in the swing of creating Fate characters. I'd advise sticking to FAE for this exercise, to save the trouble of figuring out Skills. Pick a character from a book, a TV show, a film or a video/board game and transform them into a character fit for the Fate system! If you're up to improving your skills, tell people that you're open to critique and see if people can help you come up with ideas for how to Fate-ify characters. Here's two I prepared earlier, because Telltale Games handily provided High Concepts within the game itself. Rhys ( from  Tales From the Borderlands ) High Concept: Hyperion Company Man Trouble: Handsome Jack Lives Inside My Head Aspects: ECHO Cybernetic Prosthetics Not-So-Smooth Talker Loader Bot on Call Clever: +3 Flashy: +2 Forceful: 0 Quick: +1 Sneaky: +1 Stunt: Hyperion Supply Drop Call Yvette to restock on supplies. If rolling to find a non-unique resource, either reroll or add +2 to the roll and assume Yvette got off of her lunch break and sent you supplies. Fiona ( also  from Tales From the Borderlands , too ) High Concept: Pandoran Con-Artist Trouble: One-Bullet Wonder Aspects: Fast Talker Cool Hat, Lady Always Looking to Make a Quick Buck Clever:  +2 Flashy:  0 Forceful: +1 Quick:  +2 Sneaky:  +3 Stunt: Kid Sister (Partner in Crime) You work best when you work with Sasha. When conning someone, either reroll or add +2 to the roll and remember to make it up to Sasha later. These are both open to critique. Add your own! Maybe some characters from something slightly more mainstream :P (Lemme know if this was groovy to post~ It seemed like a fun activity.)
This is honestly a real neat practice! Hmmm okay. Rodrick ( Liar's Blade by Tim Pratt) High Concept : The Hedonistic Anti-Hero Trouble : Physically Average in Every Way Aspects : > Double, Triple, Quadruples down > Has a Way with the Ladies > Wielder of Hrym, the Frostbringer Clever: +3 Flashy: +2 Forceful: +1 Quick: +2 Sneaky:  +0 Stunt : My Only Lifeline > He is always considered ready for battle. Rodrick gets a +2 on Defense actions when first attacked by an opponent. Hrym ( Liar's Blade by Tim Pratt) High Concept : The, Talkative, Bringer of Winter's Blade Trouble : Has a Haughty Mouth Aspects : > Was Probably a Dragon. > Uses Excessive Force > Wielder of Rodrick, the Human scabbard Clever: +1 Flashy: +2 Forceful: +3 Quick: +2 Sneaky: +0 Stunt : The Cold is My Friend, Not Yours > When in cold climates, or near a reasonably large body of water, gets +2 on Create Advantage rolls.
This seems like super good Practice actually. ^^ Jaina Proudmoore (Warcraft) High Concept:  Dalaran's Prodigy and the Alliance's Diplomat Trouble: No one Listens until It's too late Aspects: Admiral's Daughter The only one who listened to the prophet Lady of Theramoore Clever: +3 Flashy:  0 Forceful:  +1 Quick: +1 Sneaky: +2 Stunt:  Hate Resorting to Violence > When trying to convince someone to back down from a fight, gain a +2 to the roll.
I'm back! I thought I'd do a classic this time. Superman High Concept: Orphan Alien from the Planet Krypton Trouble:  Kryptonite Aspects: Peace, Justice and the American Way! Country Boy From Smallville Mild-Mannered Daily Planet Reporter, Clark Kent Clever: +1 Flashy:  +1 Careful: +2 Forceful: +3 Quick: +2 Sneaky: 0 Stunt: A Cry For Help You can hear a call of distress from the other side of the world and can get their before they finish screaming. Go first in any conflict when there's a victim. (Oh no, have I only been doing five approaches? Oops, I meant to be doing the default 6).

@Joseph A.  The stunt is probably a little too broad. Stunts tend to be for very specific circumstances. I don't know enough about One Piece to advise, really, but it'd be something more like "Against [this certain type of enemy] he takes a +4 to fight". Also I'm not sure if you meant to mix up FATE Core skills and FAE Approaches like that? You've numbered the skills like they're approaches.

Harry Potter ( from, uh, the Harry Potter Series ) High Concept: The Boy Who Lived / The Chosen One Trouble: Saviour Complex Aspects:   House of Gryffindor Just Like His Father, But Has His Mother's Eyes Raised By Muggles Clever:  0 Flashy: +3 Forceful:  +2 Careful:  +1 Quick: +2 Sneaky: +1 Stunt: Invisibility Cloak On the Christmas of your first year, you received a Cloak of Invisibility which apparently once belonged to your father. Take +4 to Sneaky when wearing your Cloak. Hermione Granger (also of Harry Potter fame) High Concept: The Brightest Witch in Our Year Trouble:  Or Worse - Expelled! Aspects: House of Gryffindor In Theory Muggleborn Clever:  +3 Flashy: +1 Forceful: +2 Careful: +2 Quick:  0 Sneaky: +1 Stunt: I've Read About That! You've read almost everything in the library. When trying to Cleverly recall some knowledge of Fair difficulty, you automatically succeed. If the knowledge is more rare, you gain a +2 instead.
Hey Jaye, I think an unconditional +4 to "sneaky" is more powerful than intended by the FAE rules. For comparison, the template provided in the rulebook: "Because I [ describe some way that you are exceptional, have a cool bit of gear, or are otherwise awesome ], I get a +2 when I [ pick one: Carefully, Cleverly, Flashily, Forcefully, Quickly, Sneakily ] [ pick one: attack, defend, create advantages, overcome ] when [ describe a circumstance ]. (p. 31) Your Invisibility Cloak satisfies the first two conditions: "describe a cool bit of gear" and "pick one: [...] sneakily"; but it ignores "pick one: attack, defend, create advantages, overcome" and "describe a circumstance". You also doubled the suggested bonus to the approach. What do you think?
@Daniel E. Y'know I was trying to think of a way to say that it would only work physically? Yeah, Invisibility Cloak  should only work while you Overcome  an obstacle. However the doubling of the suggested was done on purpose. The Invisibility Cloak is a powerful tool and I wanted to reflect that - especially since he isn't all that Sneaky otherwise. It does have that weakness with being heard and being tangible, but I think a big bump in success is a good reflection of the item.
Zuko (ATLA) High Concept: Exiled Prince of the Fire Nation Trouble: Quick Temper Honor Bound Rage Is My Nitrous, Passion Is My Fuel What Would Uncle Do? Stunts Like The Waves: Because I can harness the Yin and the Yang, once per session I can spend a Fate Point to redirect a single attack away from myself. Inner Flame: Because my rage gives me strength, I get +2 to Attack with Forceful when I am enraged and firebending Approaches Forceful: +3 Clever: +1 Flashy: +2 Quick: +2 Sneaky: +1 Careful: 0
Master Chief (Halo) High Concept: Spartan (Spartan-II Program) Trouble: I get the mission done, even if others don't agree Other Aspects: Cortana is always reliable in my eyes. I fight to give humanity another day to live. TBD Stunts: Because I have MJONIR Armor, I get +2 to Defend with Flashy, until I take damage, where I must then wait 3 rounds to use it again. Because of my training as a Spartan, once per session, one Forceful Attack cannot be defended against. Because I am a Spartan-II, I get a +2 to Clever when interacting with other surviving Spartans from the Spartan-II program. Approaches: Forceful: +3 Clever: +1 Flashy: +2 Quick: +2 Sneaky: +0 Careful: +1 Thoughts?
