After a few huge spiders are dropped new poison collecting taps into the start of what could be a lucrative poison manufacturing resource. .. if they don't just burn it down. Massive disturbing is the spider-riding blink demon that calls out a Warrant from Hell on Rogar from the back ranks. Spears hurt super bad but the fiend bounces away into the nether before a full retaliation could be mounted... Pulling that demon card from the Deck is starting to cause ripples... Rogar can feel the fate of it. Featherfalling down the 1,000 feet to the damaged airskiff, a few mends later and its good to go. The airskiff is wartek powered, requiring 3 docents to power systems, navgation and 2 gunpods on the forward tips of the small gunboat. *(small piece of retcon I'm going to insert here.. because I had an idea I like about this) the remaining scholar archons that Beyonce left behindwith the team got a level up when the team hit 11 after conquoring Bartertown. We know the archons can become docents via a ritual until their next long rest. At level up I used a feat to allow them to shift from docent to lantern as a 10 minute ritual requiring no components... so thye can pilot the skiff and operate as lantern archons, but leaving the ship immobilized while not powering it. It may come in handy, and it sounds cool. Cragwood and Bartertown are now on alert for possible Demonic infiltration. The communication hubs are now relaying status reports on the hour. The current space is a catacomb of masive spiderwebs creating shoots of webbing tunnels that unfurl into curtain sheets gossamer thin... draping cables of web strands -- some as thick as a barrel-- stretch into the distance, suported by endless tangent strands making an extended netting of loose web clusters. its a fractal wonderland but carries hoards of spider nests of various sizes, and interweaving strands of black ooze, saturating the region where Dhraksis found Kyva. The stuff acts like the barreled ooze used last month to disrupt the mekillot caravans to Ledo. Collecting a sample, the team continues on.. at one point the team drifted into a webbing pond of chalk like spores clinging to silk strands like clams on string. As the ship glides into the webbing, poison gas tufts from the spores when the skiff slides through, The thin webbing stacking up across the hull of the skiff, dragging pods of angry spiders with it-- after a few bouts of spider onslaught the team encountered a knot of webs anchored in the cavern space by suspension. Large and huge spiders lined the web space, using the thick cable-like web supports to move about in ease. Rogar calculates breaking 5 of the 15 support webs will ruin the balance and knock the house-sized boulder from the area-- with each cable that snapped under gunfire, the rock would tilt and spinskaing more spiders from the central pod-- and a deep rumbling built in strength with each strand.
