A wandering bard joins the party for a time after finding them resting from the battle in Necromancer's Cave, passing along bad news about the apparent passing of their cleric. Continuing through the cave system, Bor and Faeron are very nearly turned entirely to stone during an encounter with a basilisk. After beheading the beast, they almost literally stumble upon Damien, the caretaker of the cave, who provides information that, while truthful, is shady and lethally deceptive. Viktor enters into a pact of convenience with the cave itself, saving Faeron and Garrick from immediate and nearly certain death but infecting Faeron with vampirism. Using the power of the cave's portal room and the stabilizing power of the Benedictine amulet, the party teleports to Bargewright Inn, in hopes of finding expert care for Garrick's beloved Lia. Soon, however, they find that she requires more adept attention and teleport to Neverwinter, where she is fully restored. The party split in several directions, Garrick devotes his full attention to Lia, handing the amulet to Faeron to deliver into the hands of the Archmage Council with an "I don't care." Upon reflection, he begins to realize that the amulet may not be what he had been led to believe at all. This latter fact is pointed out to Faeron by Archmage Angelique, with whom Faeron enters into grave business to prevent the apocalypse. The party has weighty matters to discuss. Thus ends Part Two: Wedding Bell Blues.
