Hello! My name is Nate, and I've been traveling across the land, searching far and wide for an interesting yet accessible (both time and content-wise) AD&D Second Edition campaign. I've been getting nowhere, but then I thought, "Hey! I can make my own LFG thing!" Before I go deeper into my spiel, I'll say that I can play on any day except Friday or Sunday at 5:00PM Central US time. If Tuesday, maybe 6:00PM. I have no experience with AD&D 2e unless you count Baldur's Gate (which I have never finished, but do enjoy). I've read through a good bit of the Player's Handbook (the one with the near naked viking-looking dude flexing with a great axe). I've played about a year of 5e, and some 3.5. What I'm looking for is something more serious than silly in story, but more laid back than stiff in gameplay. As for what I'd like for character creation, I'd like to use method V for stat rolls (the standard "roll 4d6, drop lowest, allocate how you like"), but also with the option to reroll two of them and keep the best (or worst, if that's what you want for RPing). For combat, I'd prefer a tabletop approach (like in Combat & Tactics) with some RP into how things are done. Talking more than a sentence or command should not be a free action, since I find jamming in the entirety "To be or not be" speech into a single turn to be ridiculous. Evil characters are not allowed, but not everyone needs to be goody-goody-two-shoes. If you instead invite me to am already-in-progress game with its own style, I won't dictate the play style, of course. I want this game to be all-inclusive and welcome to people from all walks of life. But, I'd rather not have problem people with abrasive personalities, murderhobos, or class clowns. I'd like to talk to anyone wanting to play or DM. If a DM is selected, they will have co-say over who is selected to play. For the most part, after both a DM and players (3-4 plus me) are selected, I will step down to be a lowly player. I want a game of decent length, but I'd be fine with a one-shot or a three-to-five session game. Already-made campaigns are also a good idea. I don't mind a bit of story railroading as long as *I* am in control of my character during it. Players don't need experience with AD&D 2e, because that would majorly hypocritical of me. DMs should at least have a little and quick on their feet. Thank you for reading this long-as-heck post! I look forward to trying something new!
