I have always felt out of place. I should have been born thousands of years ago. It's all about the pistols, muskets and cannons now. You can make a soldier out of anybody in a day, as long as you lie convincingly enough that the gunpowder will never explode in their face when they pull the trigger. The weapon masters who wield swords and halberds with deadly grace, the spy masters who strike out of the shadows and can uncover the most hidden secrets, are dying races now. So are the dwarves who proudly ruled over the mountains, the elves who lived eternal lives in their forests, and the wielders of magic shaped out of pure chaos or granted by ancient gods. Hell, most people nowadays don't even believe any of this ever existed! I am a member of a dying race. But then *they* arrived, and now we *all* are. Big, strange machines, armed with impossible weapons. Flesh-eating self-replicating monsters. Where did they come from? From a doomed future, from the ruins of a forgotten past, from another world, from our nightmares? The cities were destroyed, the villages turned into slaughterhouses. Everybody who survived is on the run. It is a constant struggle to find food, to stay alive, to run and hide, and to fight when that's unavoidable. It is a horror. But a horror that I feel I belong in, much more than I ever belonged in the world it destroyed. --- In other words, I am looking for players. - ruleset: Lamentations of the Flame Princess - world: Horizon Zero Dawn + Europe around the year 1600 + Lord of the Rings - game type: open world exploration, survival, very little civilization left, destroyed cities, ancient ruins that might hold the key to saving the world - time: Sundays around 3pm or 4pm Central European time, not every week - requirements: webcam + willingness to read and follow the ruleset Lamentations of the Flame Princess (which is basically DnD 1e made coherent and logical) - if interested, PM me
