Spells not copying from SRD into new character properly

I've tried with quite a few different monsters from the standard SRD, but spells aren't populating properly if you drag the monster you want from the SRD. Cult fanatic for example, just has blank spells; the name copies across but not the effect or anything else. Operating System Windows Windows 7 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Web Browser Chrome 58.0.3029.96 Browser Size 1920 x 984 Color Depth 24 bit Javascript Enabled Flash Version 25.0.-1 Cookies Enabled Edit 1: Oh goodie, I can't even pull the spell from the SRD into the spell slot to make it populate either. Edit 2: Not entirely relevant here but why does the pencil no longer work on character sheets? I constantly have to click the edit pencil, close the sheet and open it again to be in edit mode?

Brad, which character sheet are you currently using?

Hi Brad, It sounds like you're using the Shaped sheet, but this applies to all sheets. Sheets do not have access to the compendium other than the immediate item you drag. So that means if you drag a monster and that monster has spells the sheet only has access to the names of those spells. The sheet has no ability to query the compendium for more information on the spell. This is true for all sheets. I haven't seen any bug reports about the edit button not working lately. I've never been able to reproduce the issue, but if you're having any issue with it make sure you do not have 2 people looking at the sheet at once. Apparently that has some impact.

Brad, if you do have the Shaped Sheet, the Companion Script (which you have access to as a Pro subscriber) has a function to populate a creature with spells pulled form the Compendium, after the fact. I.e. import the creature, select its token and then run the API command.
Yeah, I'm using shaped sheet for 5e. Forgot to send that through, my bad. Thanks for the help guys, admittedly lost my rag with it a little yesterday but I understand now. Keith, where is the Companion Script acccessed?

The thread is  here . Installation instructions are in the first post. Although it is available as a One-Click install, the recommended method is manual, to keep parity with the sheet. My advice is to do a manual install on both, and when you are satisfied with performance, keep them that way. Do another manual update on both only if there is some new feature or bug fix that you are really concerned about. That's a nice balance of keeping things stable, and not knocking yourself out trying to keep up to date. They are both frequently upgraded.
