Questions for the GM? Post Them Here

If you have questions for the GM, please post them here.
Whats your ideal number of players?
Hi Wave, I think the sweet spot in rpgs is five players.  For this game I'm going to go with six players.  That will give us a little cushion I figure down the line if one or two people have to miss a session due to real life stuff.  I'm planning to make the final selections on the remaining two players either tomorrow or Saturday. If your question has to do with Obligation/Duty/Morality by chance, I'm going to allow people to take the 5 or 10 options for the additional XP and/or credits if you want.  You don't have to have Obligation to tie you to being compelled to go to Port Tooga, but I would like you to at least include a reason in you backstory.
Nah it was regarding the actual number of people. Bc since i will be waiting until everyone has a concept of what they want ro play i wonr make a character. So i wanted to know how long do I have.

Jerry, how much narration from the players would you like, speaking to the fine line between flavor text and reality control? I took some liberties with my pregame character activities, but thought I should check for the future.
I encourage the players to create minor narrative details or flavor text in the game.  I'd just ask that you just don't push the envelope too far trying to get an advantage out of it somehow for the PCs.   There may be times when I might have to override something suggested, but hopefully that will be rare.  I do believe in the tenets of "yes, and...." or perhaps "yes, but...."  I do think there is a fine line between flavor text and reality control as you indicated.  Hope that provides some clarity for you.
Hey Jer! Just wanted to ask if it was ok to slip in what I spent my EXP on in the notes of my character sheet in roll 20. Figured I might actually keep better track of what I spent where. Also might be a thing the other could do so you don't have to ask and you can just look at it and see.
Hi Ze, I like that idea.   I would appreciate everyone doing that.  Just a brief note of what you spent where each time you spend XP  would be very helpful.  Jerry
I already do :)
question. you mentioned giving 5 xp for the backstory is that still a thing or should i remove 5xp? also i wrote a log on my notes too
Thanks.  Besides the starting XP and any additional credits/XP from up to 10 Obligation, I allowed an extra 5 XP if you did a character backstory.  You did, so you should keep the 5 XP.
The extra 5 XP I mentioned during session 1 was for role play prior to session 1.  That's included in the 25 XP I awarded for session 1.
Ok thanks.  Umm also  the people  in this resort dont carry weapons  right at least nothing as big as my  carabine right?  also is there a lot of  guards of  some sort or maybe its kinda a  shady place and a lot of people look like thugs? unless we dont have acces to that info yet  could  you explain that ?
Good question.  The resort is a tourist area mostly, so there will be security around and people may flee in terror from you if they see you carrying a big weapon around.  However, this is Ryloth (known for spice and slaves and dancing), so there are seedier areas on the fringe of the resort where walking around with a carbine would not be out of place.   I suggest if you go into the resort proper that you hide your weapons or don't bring them at all.  On the fringe areas, come as you are.
Would just a holstered  blaster pistol seem out of place in the nicer areas? if so no big deal for me if not, can we retcon a touch to say I left my main on the ship and am hiding my backup in my clothing?
I don't know what to do... Since... I do not think Kes would get the fact she should prolly leave her lively hood some place... And I am not sure how trusting she would be to just leave her things on a ship of a man she doesn't know. Actually that I am sure about, and that's a no way in seven hells would she leave her lively hood someplace. It would be like leaving her helm off. I want to ask how much trouble she would be in... but then I would plan to move around it... and I really feel like it should be SURPRISE! MOTHER TRUCKER! >.> But I also hate not having a plan... even a half-assed, we should prolly really not do this someone will die and by die I really mean Mortal Kombat fatalities ain't got nothing on this. I should stop rambling. So ok... Kes has her bow and looks like a greener Mando... Maybe they will just see her as an oddity and move on.... <.< I can dream. lol
Meh, if security doesn't stop you ....

I'm going to say since this is Ryloth that even though this is a tourist resort that it has a frontier/old west feel to it.  A holstered blaster on the hip would just be seen as prudent, though security may want to have a brief chat with you.  If Kes gets stopped, her bounty hunter credentials should allow her to go on her way.  If you have a carbine or something larger or more dangerous, you should hide it under a duster coat or say you left it on the ship in a secure locker.  Otherwise, you risk it being taken from you during your visit.  Explosives would definitely get you into trouble within the resort. Outside the resort, things are more lawless in this area of Ryloth.  Keep in mind the Empire has a presence on the planet.
Kes waves a hand, "This is not an explosive arrow." Whelp I should be fine then, I am groovy.
I don't have force influence yet, no jedi mind tricks for you.
Kes ain't even force sensitive... lol
:)
who controls  the spice trade on Ryloth? and i mean the smuggling not the imperials. specifically small time smuggling is done by particulars or organizations?
Jerry, FWIW, the droid's blaster is internal (it's a pistol.)
I going to guess that no one would bat an eye at an imperial in uniform with a pistol holstered. :)

Guss is not sure.  If Guss was to voice this question aloud in game,  R1-G makes a noise like he may have something to say on the subject.  The other characters may have insights too.  (Let's save this question for session 2.)

Im sorry but could you tell me  what weapon was Wells Carrying  again?
Blaster Pistol: Damage 6, Crit 3, Medium range, 400 credits new
Can I pick up a set of Magnacuffs? Raity4 and 100 credits?  Since we keep needing to restrain people.
Absolutely.  That would definitely be for sale on Port Tooga.
Remind me  again how many credits did we get from whoring curtis please
I believe it was 6,900.
okay, I will just pocket 5000 and give the rest to the crew
nah man we sold ya. btw check resilience for hutt STDs
Can we take 2 shipments? One going and the wine one? Should we discuss out of character wich shipment should we transport? How much space it would take do we need to get rid of the speeder?

Is there enough cargo space to take both shipments there and 1 shipment back?  ghetroc is pretty big
You can take just one of the two shipments to Naboo.
I don't know if this is a rush job, but the food would likely get through security the fastest. Less time we spend with customs the better off we are.
On the shipments. Food would be easier but do we want the easy way or the fun way?! I am willing to go with the majority of the people and but my vote is for the parts
Devas  said the parts  are  checked first by the authorities. I am in favor  of the parts too but I guess if someone has something against shooting rebels  then the food might be better. With our current info I  vote   parts
I don't want to shoot potential customers... I mean people... yes people.... >.>.  Don't Judge Me, I'm way too innocent!
Hello, This might be premature question but will "Dawn of Rebellion" book content be available for this campaign? Such as equipment/races/universal talent trees? ect...
Probably.  I want to get a copy of the the book in my hands first and look it over before I say for sure.  It's released tomorrow I believe.
Yep tomorrow! Should be something like 6 universal specs, and 6 new species
Okidokie, of course having book first. Im not taking any race or specs, but was curious about what equipment i might be able to use form there. Frankly i am not even sure what the book will have in it.
Got the book.  First impression is kinda meh about it.  Although a couple of the universal specs some of our party may find interesting (Pirate & Ship Captain is what I'm thinking).  The ex-padawan spec is worth it if you are looking to transition from an EoTE/AoR career into Force usage.  The gear section is pretty limited,  about 10 new weapons,  most are slight alterations statistically of already existing items,  No mods,  Some new droids you can get, and some ships.  Quite frankly this was disappointing.  4 New races,  all of which seem to be rehashes stat wise of existing species, without being one of the popular species (No Lasat :( ).   The Best part I think is the game master section discussing a few topics GMs might find helpful, but a lot of it is common sense.  The planetary settings are interesting,  But they are covering the "big name" planets featured in Rebels and Rogue One.  There are some planets mentioned which appeared in the two, but are only briefly summarized. Also,  I am of a mixed opinion about the fact that they've given formal stats for so many canon characters, not the least of which are Darth Vader, Thrawn, Ahsoka, Ezra, Kanan, Lando, and about 20 other major characters in the star wars universe for that time frame.  The first player in one of my games that quotes these stats to me I have a feeling is going to get table kicked. Anyway, I'm going to muse on the book for a while.  I don't feel its worth the 40 dollar price tag at the moment.
