Only some of the grids don't line up after using the Align to Grid Tool and the ALT adjustments.

Hello, I've seen my specific issue discussed before on the forum, but I was unable to glean the solution from the answers that I saw.  I've done grid map alignment and followed the steps in the tutorial, but even if some of the squares are perfectly in place, others are not. This picture below can better describe what I am talking about: As you notice, the very bottom of the map seems to be aligned near perfectly with the grid, but the farther that you go up, the more out of whack it becomes. How do I fix this?

Some maps are broken and very hard to get aligned, but try using Set Dimensions on the image and reduce the height by tiny amounts until it (roughly) fits. You will probably have to re-drag it into alignment in between.

Often the burnt in grids are not perfect on images not originally built to fit a single pixel grid line... I do what you have done to get it close and then use alt+drag to slowly but surely resize the different planes until it matches as best I can, a few pixels smaller on the vertical plane and a slight alt+arrow down adjustment should see you right :)

Tip: Position and size the map to roughly fit the grid (similar to picture above) Aling the top left borders of the most top left square to your grid. Use Alt+ resizing (Dragging the corner) to align the bottom right border of the most bottom right square to the grid. If some square on the map do not align in between, increase the size of the map in the direction that they do not fit and repeat from step 1 Should work for most maps.
Start with the center of the map and try and align those, then work on the left and right sides, then top and bottom. Get it as close as possible then turn the opacity of the grid down, the players won't notice if they are off the grid by a mm or 2.

All the suggestions given are spot on, SOP for aligning maps to the grid.  I might also suggest that once you get it as close as possible, just drop the opacity of the grid to hide or minimize the annoyance of a slight misalignment...
I got an answer on Reddit that I liked, so I'll share it here: Comment from discussion Only some of the grids don't line up after using the Align to Grid Tool and the ALT adjustments. . I found that tool to be extremely useful, and solved my problem entirely.

Thanks Dallas.  I suppose we should have pointed you to the 3+ year-old sticky at the top of the of Specific Use thread...  ;-) Map alignment and you: Or 101 ways to get your grids in a row.
I looked at that already and didn't find the answer I was looking for.
I'm posting here literally for the achievement and because I'm curious of the answer if its found

The steps outlined in the tutorial  Map alignment and you: Or 101 ways to get your grids in a row. specifically Now for the fine tuning: 4) Hold down the alt key and with the mouse move the map so that the grid is aligned. Doing this in the the top left of the map is the best result for 5a while the center of the map will produce the best results for 5b. 5a) You can use the scaling transformers (light blue boxes at the edge of your map) to resize the map to better fit. 5b) For a more precise (down to the pixel) fit right click on the map and select Advanced -> Set Dimensions. For the vertical map lines if the line is to the left of the Roll20 grid lines then increase the width in Set Dimensions. If the line is to the right then decrease the width in Set Dimensions. For the horizontal map lines if the line is above the Roll20 grid then increase the height. It the line is below the Roll20 grid then decrease the height. 6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the grid matches throughout your entire map. Should go along way.  That said Dallas's reddit link above has another trick with editing the map outside of roll20 first, which should help as well.  Goodluck.
