Looking for 1-2 players, Thursdays, 7 p.m. Eastern time. This campaign takes place in a homebrew setting where gods don't exist and, consequently, there is no divine magic. And yet religion plays a key role. The campaign is in progress, and characters would be joining at level six. We play 7 p.m. Eastern time, generally on Thursdays, but because of one member's work schedule, sometimes we do it on Wednesday. In terms of pillars of D&D, this campaign would fall around 50% interaction, 35% combat and 15% exploration. Elements of acting, problem-solving, storytelling, intrigue and investigation will come into play as well. Backstories can and do come into play here, so the best candidates will be the ones who are able to form a fully fleshed character. This game is less about winning fights than it is about making choices and then experiencing the consequences as they unravel downstream. So all this said, here are some caveats: If rolling dice and hitting stuff is your sole source of enjoyment in D&D, you will not have fun in this game, and I'm begging you with tears is my eyes to not to apply. The tone of the game can get pretty dark, and the group often is exposed to morally gray areas, sometimes pretty intense ones, so maturity is a must here. Age 25-plus, please. I plan on taking the party, which is now at six level, all the way to 20th, so we're looking at a process that will take three to four years. Let me say that again: Three to four years. Commitment is important here, and if you have even an inkling that you will flake early, then please do us both a favor and decline applying. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but ain't nobody got time for that. So, if all this has not dissuaded you so far, please pm me so we can talk about adding you to the group.
